Dear Customer,
Congratulations on purchasing this equipment. Please read this manual carefully and take
care of the following hints to avoid damages. Any failure caused by ignoring the mentioned
items and cautions mentioned in the instruction manual are not covered by our warranty
and any liability.
1. Place the device on a table or flat surface that is not made of metal and remove all
jewelry.
2. Insert 6 AA batteries (not included).
3. Turn on the device
4. Adjust the volume to one third.
5. Set DISC to the middle position
6. Hold the red button on the handle and turn TUNE slowly to the right and to the left until
the pointer on the screen almost indicates 0.
7. You have now set the device. To test the device, take one object which is made of iron
and one which contains no iron. Sweep the ferrous object back and forth in front of the
search ring. The hum disappears and the pointer goes to iron. With the non-ferrous
object, the pointer goes to non-ferrous.
NOTE: It is normal to hear a hum.

Attach the parts as shown in the sketch and tighten the screw.
