Door hardware
External door-knob, internal door handle
(exchange fittings), lock with key action
on springbolt. With these fittings installed,
a person can leave the room at any time
by opening the door with the door handle.
Door releases
The door releases to be used with the
access-code control units are models
1405/1705 (open-circuit operation) and
3405/3705 (closed-circuit operation).
Door releases with open-circuit
operation:
Open-circuit door releases, e.g. model
1405, are released when energized. In
the event of a power cut, the security of
the lock remains unaffected.
Door releases with closed-circuit
operation:
Closed-circuit door releases, e.g. model
3405, are released when de-energized.
If there is a power cut, the door remains
unlocked for access at any time.
Electric door releases
Technical data:
1405:
Nominal voltage 12 VDC
(Voltage tolerance 11 – 13 VDC)
Power consumption 200 mA,
100% duty cycle
1705:
Nominal voltage 12 VDC
(Voltage tolerance 11 – 13 VDC)
Power consumption 230 mA,
100% duty cycle
3405:
Nominal voltage 12 VDC
(Voltage tolerance 11 – 13 VDC)
Power consumption 200 mA,
100% duty cycle
3705:
Nominal voltage 12 VDC
(Voltage tolerance 11 – 13 VDC)
Power consumption 230 mA,
100% duty cycle
Separate door release button
By means of a separate door release button
(which may be supplied by the customer),
the door can be opened from inside in the
customary way. The door release is then
unlocked for the same period of time as
that allowed by the access-code door
control unit.
External interference
In spite of internal protective measures,
exceptionally strong interference fields may
have an adverse affect on the micro-
processor-controlled door control unit.
Interference can be prevented if the
following points are observed when the
system is installed:
--- Never install the unit in the immediate
vicinity of inductive electrical equipment.
--- Provide a separate lead for the mains
power supply (with mains filter if necessary).
--- Fit interference suppressors to inductive
electrical equipment (varistors, RC-
elements). After the interference has been
eliminated, the access-code control unit
must be reset. (See Processor Reset)
