4) Open the clamp (see fig. 3, item 1) and insert the tray tube into the receiver tube (see fig. 3,
item 2). Close the clamp.
5) Procedure for 491S32=SK030, 491S32=SK130, 491S55=SK020 Assemblies:
→ Position the tray top. Make sure the tray has enough contact surface on the armrests.
→ Adjust the width of the side panels if needed.
→ Remove the control panel and other optional components from the contact area if needed.
→ Loosen the Allen head screws on the tray top (see fig. 5, item 1).
→ Position the tray top on the adapter so that it rests on the centre of the armrests (see
fig. 5, item 2).
→ Retighten the Allen head screws.
6) Procedure for 491S32=SK230 Assembly:
→ Determine the installation position for the tray. Take note of the user's requirements and
the technical conditions (size, adapter, installation side for the tray).
→ Place the tray bracket on the positioned tray and mark the position for the drill holes in the
centre of the slotted holes in the bracket. (see fig. 6).
→ Drill the holes using a suitable tool and countersink the holes on the top side afterwards.
→ Position the tray top centrally between the arm rests (see fig. 5, item 2).
→ Insert the Allen head screws through the tray and bracket and fasten using one washer
and one cap nut per screw.
7) Using an appropriate tool, cut the tray top so that the control panel, mirror or LCD screen
remain accessible to the user and do not conflict with the tray top (see fig. 7). File and deburr
the cut surfaces.
NOTICE! Make sure that no cables are pinched when swivelling and positioning the
tray top.
8) If necessary: Trim tube if it protrudes too far:
→ Make sure the depth of the tray can still be adjusted. Do not saw the tube off too short
(see fig. 8, item 1).
→ Remove the end piece (see fig. 8, item 2).
→ Saw off and deburr the tube using an appropriate tool.
→ Put the end piece back on.
7 Usage

7.1 Using the Product

Swinging Away the Tray
1) Open the clamp and pull the tray forward (see fig. 3).
CAUTION! Before swivelling the tray away to the side, pull it forward away from the
user's body.
CAUTION! Make sure that no part of the user's body is pinched or struck when swivel­
ling away the tray.
2) Swivel the tray away to the side when the user gets into or out of the wheelchair. Make sure
the tray hangs down parallel alongside the side panel:
→ Right: see fig. 9; see fig. 10
→ Wrong: see fig. 11
→ NOTICE! Please note that a tray which hangs down incorrectly may become dam­
aged.
3) After the user gets into or out of the wheelchair, fold back the tray and position it carefully on
the armrests (see fig. 12).
NOTICE! Make sure that no cables, lighting components etc. are pinched.
4) If needed, slide the tray back in and close the clamp (see fig. 3).
CAUTION! Do not pinch the user when sliding in the product.
