POWER
Power on/off for the HM8133. Line connector on the rear side of the
unit.
REMOTE / LOCAL (pushbutton and LED)
The REMOTE LED is lit when the instrument is operated via the
IEEE-488 bus. Return to local by depressing the local-switch is
possible, provided the instrument is not in the local lockout state.
MOD. INP. (BNC socket)
Input for an external modulation signal. Nominal input voltage 2V
LCD Display
2 lines by 16 digit alphanumeric LCD Display for readout of set values
and indication of selected functions.
PREV.
Selection of previous menu.
STEP /
Keys for increasing or decreasing of frequency or level at a stepwidth
which is predefinable via the menu.
MEMORY RCL
Key for recalling of stored instrument settings. 10 complete settings
(0-9) can be stored.
MEMORY STO
Key for selecting one of the 10 memories for instrument settings.
The number of the memory is selected via the numeric keypad.
CURSOR
The cursor is shifted in the display by means of the cursor keys. This
kind of operation is always available when parameter values are

Keys for selecting the dimensions. The correct dimension is always
selected according to the parameter on change by the center dial.
Numeric keypad
Numeric keypad for entering of values, including sign and decimal
point.
- (pushbuttons and LED's)
Keys for the selection of the parameter to change (frequency, level,
modulation, stepwidth).
Center dial
For setting of all parameters.
OUTPUT / ON
Output on/off key
OUTPUT (N-connector)
The output signal is available at the N-connector as long as the output
is activated. Even when the output is switched off, it bears an
impedance of 50Ω.
