Safety Instructions

WARNING
The mains voltage can cause injury or
death.
Do not open the housing on this printer.
CAUTION
• This device is designed for an AC
voltage supply in the range of 100 V
to 240 V. Only plug the printer into an
outlet with an earthing (ground) con-
tact.
• Only connect this printer with devices
that are run on extra-low safety volt-
ages.
• The printer should only be operated
in a dry environment with no expo-
sure to moisture (splashed water,
fog, etc.).
• When operating the printer while the
cover is open, be sure that no
clothes, hair, jewellery or other per-
sonal effects can come into contact
with the exposed rotating printer
parts.
• Other improper changes or uses of
the printer are unsafe.
• Several warning stickers are at-
tached to the printer. They are in-
tended to remind you of the existing
risks. Never remove these stickers.
They help you and other users to re-
member the risk areas and to avoid
injury.

Proper and intended usage

This device is constructed using state of the art
technology, in compliance with generally accepted
technical and safety standards. However, when op-
erating the printer, the possibility still exists for dam-
age to the printer and surrounding objects, as well
as for danger to life and limb.
CAUTION
This printer may only be used when it is
in perfect running order. It should be op-
erated in a proper and safe manner in
observation of the operating instructions.
This printer should be used only for printing suitable
materials which have been approved by the manu-
facturer. Any different or modified usage is consid-
ered improper and non-compliant. The manufacturer
or supplier is not liable for any damages resulting
from improper usage. The user assumes full risk in
such instances.
Read and follow the information found in these in-
structions to ensure proper use. This includes the
maintenance tips and instructions specified by the
manufacturer.
All documentation is included on the CD
delivered with the printer. It can also be
downloaded on the internet.
