Please note that the electronic measuring tape will automatically
switch off if you do not press any button for approx. 5 minutes.
To switch on again, pull the measuring tape out of the housing and you
will see the previously saved flashing value
4. To undertake new measurements, press the hold button again. The
electronic measuring tape is again ready for use.

Measurement including Housing Length

If you want to measure for example the distance between two objects, you
can position the unit between both objects and include the housing length
in the measurement.
1. First, press the shift key
from pointing to the left
arrow is now situated on top of the display.
From now, in all measurements that are undertaken, the length of the
housing of 7.6 cm is included.
2. To reset this function, to measurement without including the housing
length, press the shift key

Battery Status Display

1. If the symbol Bat (A) is displayed, the batteries are spent and have to
be replaced. Otherwise mismeasurements occur.
2. Replace the batteries as soon as possible and insert only batteries of
the same type LR 44, observing right polarity.

Cleaning and Storing

Remove the batteries from the unit if you do not want to use if for long
time or when storing the electronic measuring tape.
Clean the housing with a lightly moistened cloth. Do not use aggres-
sive chemicals or abrasives in order not to damage the surfaces.
Do not press on the display while cleaning.
