Inserting the Batteries

1. Slide the battery compartment lid from the housing until the battery
compartment lid opens. Insert 2 batteries of the type LR 44 (AG13)
with the minus pole (
2. Pull the battery compartment lid lightly outwards and press the lid
down until the built-in spring fits audibly.
3. Push the battery compartment lid back until the lid fits with the housing
and locks visibly.

Hints

The electronic measuring tape is a precision measuring instrument
and must be handled with care. Accurate measurement results are
only guaranteed if the unit is handled with care and well maintained.
If the measuring tape is exposed to strong mechanical stress (e. g.
quickly pulling and retracting the tape, accidentally dropping down,
etc.), mismeasurement will occur.
In this case, before using the electronic measuring tape again, pull the
tape for several times approx. 40 cm forth and back, retract the tape
completely back and press the reset button
Now the measuring tape is calibrated and ready for use.
To switch on the unit, pull the measuring tape out of the housing. If the
unit is on and you do not press any button for approx. 5 minutes, the
display will automatically turn off. The previously set measuring unit
will be stored and displayed after switching on the electronic measur-
ing tape.
The hook of the measuring tape is movable and can be moved as far
as the material is thick. This makes it easier to measure outside and
inside dimensions.
