Charge settings
By pressing the „Cell/Start" button (7), select the correct cell number of your accu-
mulator. Each press of the button adds one cell (2...3...4...2...). The LED for the cell
count (2) changes accordingly.
If the set cell count does not correspond with the accumulator, a
charging process cannot be started (protection circuit).
By pressing the „Rate" button (6), select the right current for your accumulator (e.g.
accumulator 1000 mAh --> charge current 1000mA etc.). When in doubt, always
select the lower charging current.
Each press of the button advances one stage further (500mA...1000mA...
2000mA...500mA...). The LED for the charge current (3) changes accordingly.
Starting the charging process
In order to start the charging process, keep the „Cell/Start" button (7) depressed for
approx. 2 seconds. The charger acknowledges this with a short signal and the
display (2) stays lit.
The charger is equipped with an automatic charge cutoff, which terminates the
charge process when the final charge voltage is reached.
The end of the charging process is signaled optically and acoustically. 8 beeps
sound and the cell LED (2) blinks.
Separate the accumulator from the charger.
If the accumulator pack remains in the charger, a short signal sounds every 30
seconds..
If the charger was not separated from the accumulator, you can trig-
ger a new charging process with the preset parameters.
While charging it is perfectly normal for the accumulator to become
„slightly" hot.
Never cover the charger to prevent damage (from overheating).
Error messages
The charger automatically detects errors or wrong parameters and signals these
optically and acoustically. The following error messages can occur:
All LEDs of the cell count (2) blink and a warning signal sounds. The charge
process does not start.
Cause: The set cell count does not coincide with the accumulator pack. Check the
correct setting and change the cell count if applicable.
A warning signal sounds when the cell count is set correctly. The charging
process does not start.
The cell voltage of the accumulator pack is too low. A normal charging process is
not possible.
Keep the key „Rate" button depressed for approx. two seconds. The charger starts
the extended charge mode in order to normalise the cell voltage.
After approx. 30 seconds, the charger automatically switches back to normal charge
mode.
Disposal
Dispose of the device in accordance with the valid statutory regulations
once it has become unusable.
Disposal of spent batteries/rechargeable batteries
You, as the end user, are legally obliged (Ordinance on the Return and Disposal
of Used Batteries) to return all used batteries. Disposal in the household waste
is prohibited!
Batteries containing hazardous substances are labelled with the symbols
shown to the left. These symbols also indicate that disposal of these bat-
teries in the household waste is prohibited. The symbols for the critical
heavy metals are as follows: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead.
You can return flat batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to the
collection points in your community, our branches or anywhere else whe-
re batteries or rechargeable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and make your contribution to the protec-
tion of the environment.
