Troubleshooting table
Malfunctions can occur in all electrical appliances. This does not nec-
essarily mean there is a defect in the appliance. For this reason, please
check the tables to see if you can correct the malfunction.

Risk of electric shock in case of improper repair!
Never try to repair a defective or suspected defective appli-
ance yourself. You can put your own and future users' lives in
danger. Only authorised specialists are allowed to carry out
this repair work.
Problem
The egg boiler does
not work.
The eggs are too hard
or too soft.
The eggs have
cracked.
The eggs are difficult to
shell.
Possible cause
Adjustment dial is set
to 'O'.
Mains plug is loose.
The socket is defective.
The wrong measuring
cup scale was used.
The eggs were not
pierced before boiling.
The eggs were not
shocked for long
enough under cold
running water after
cooking.
Solutions, tips
Switch the appliance
on.
Check that the mains
plug is firmly inserted
into the socket.
Test the appliance with
another socket.
Check the fuses.
Use the correct scale
on the measuring cup.
Pierce the eggs before
boiling.
Shock the eggs for
ample time under cold
running water after
cooking.
