If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, discon-
nect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- The device shows signs of visible damage,
- The device no longer functions and
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- Following considerable stress during transportation.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the Employer's
Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and Operating Materials are
to be observed.
• The 4 Channel Digital Recorder, remote control and the plug in mains power unit
provided are suitable for operation in dry, closed rooms only.
• Only the power unit supplied may be used for the power supply of the 4 Channel
Digital Recorder. Power supply to the remote control must exclusively be a 3V/DC
button cell battery (type CR2025).
• Capacitors in the device may still be charged even after it has been disconnected
from all power sources.
• The power unit may never be plugged in or unplugged with wet hands.
• Never pull at the cable of the power unit. Always grip the power unit's housing to
unplug it!
• Ensure that the 4 Channel Digital Recorder is unplugged from the power supply,
and thus switched off, when installing the SATA hard drive.
• When installing / mounting the appliance, make sure that the connection cable is
neither pinched nor damaged by sharp edges.
• Always disconnect the power plug from the mains socket if the device is not to be
used for longer periods of time.
• Always pull the power unit out of the mains socket before cleaning the 4 Channel
Digital Recorder.
• In case of a thunderstorm, unplug the power supply for safety reasons.
• Never replace damaged mains cables yourself. In such cases, disconnect the
appliance from the mains and take it to a specialist workshop.
• Never pour liquids into electrical devices. This would cause a serious danger of
fire or electric shock. If such a case occurs, nonetheless disconnect the mains
power unit from the mains socket immediately and consult an expert.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified spe-
cialist or a specialised repair shop.
• In case you have questions which are not answered in this manual, please contact
our technical service or other specialists.
