Charging the built-in rechargeable battery

The mobile PA system is equipped with a rechargeable lead-acid battery to allow operation independent from the
mains supply.
Before first use, the battery must be fully charged.
To protect the battery, it should be recharged after each use. Further measures to extend the lifespan of the battery
are frequent use as well as storing and recharging it at room temperature.
Only recharge the rechargeable battery using the built-in charger. Otherwise the battery can be
damaged and there is a risk of explosion or fire.
Only recharge the battery at room temperature and in a well-ventilated environment.
Do not expose the battery to high temperatures (>50°C), since this will shorten its lifespan.
The mains socket to which the mobile PA system is connected must be easily accessible so that
the device can be quickly separated from the mains supply in case of an error.
Connect the provided mains cable to the POWER INPUT mains connection (7) at the back of the device.
Plug the mains plug into a mains socket.
As soon as the mobile PA system is connected to the mains supply it starts charging the battery.
The CHARGE LED lights up during the charging process. When the battery is fully charged, the CHARGE LED
goes out again.
The mobile PA system can be used during the charging process.
The battery is charged even when the device is switched off.
Charge the battery before the first use or when it is not used over a longer period of time to allow it to reach its
maximum capacity.
Disconnect the mobile PA system from the mains supply to stop charging.
The mobile PA system is ready for use right after is has been charged. The operating time with a fully charged
battery, depending on the volume, is about 6 hours.
When the device is switched on, the SOUND SYSTEM BATTERY LEVEL (10) display shows the battery level.
If the display shows LOW, the battery has to be recharged very soon. If the device remains in operation, a
protective circuit will switch off the device automatically to protect it from total discharge.
The battery has a low self-discharge, i.e. it also discharges when the device is not in operation. For this reason,
you should recharge the battery every 2 months if it is not used.
