1 Applications
With the digital keypad controllers DAC-199 (for sur-
face mounting) and DAC-299 (for flush mounting)
alarm centers can be activated and deactivated.
Especially the MONACOR alarm centers DA-996,
DA-1002, and DA-1024 can be controlled with these
keypad controllers.
Furthermore the keypad controller can be used as
a coded lock e. g. for an electromagnetic door ope-
ner. If the correct code number is entered, the door is
opened.
In case of dismounting or damage to the keypad
controller the integrated anti-tamper switch triggers
an alarm via the connected alarm center.

2 Safety Notes

This device corresponds to the EC directive
89/336/EEC for electromagnetic compatibility.

The connection should only be carried out by
authorized personnel.
•
The model DAC-199 is only suitable for use in dry
rooms.
•
Protect the unit against humidity and heat (permis-
sible operating temperature range 0-40°C).
•
If the unit is used for purposes other than originally
intended, if it is connected in the wrong way or not
repaired by authorized skilled personnel, no liabi-
lity can be taken over for possible damage.
