Safety provisions
Any damage caused by non-compliance with the operating
instructions rule out your warranty claim! We shall not be held
liable for consequential damage resulting from such non-compli-
ance.
We shall not be held liable for material or personal damage result-
ing from improper handling or non-compliance with the safety
provisions. In such cases, any warranty claims are ruled out.
• The device has been designed according to safety class II. To maintain this condi-
tion and to ensure safe operation, it is essential for the user to comply with the
safety provisions and warning instructions contained in these Operating Instruc-
tions. For safety reasons and with regard to the homologation (CE), unauthorized
modifications and/or changes of the unit are prohibited!
• Only a 230 V/50 Hz (10/16A) socket outlet of the public electricity supply network
may be used as a voltage source.
• When used in industrial plants, the Provisions for the Prevention of Accidents of
the Association of Industrial Employers' Liability Insurance Associations for Elec-
trical Installations and Equipment must be complied with.
• Moreover, make sure that the insulation (of the housing or the power cable) is nei-
ther damaged nor destroyed.
• Never spill liquids on the device! This would involve an extreme fire hazard or a risk
of fatality due to electric shocks. Should spillage have occurred nevertheless,
remove the mains plug from the socket and consult a specialist immediately.
• Make sure that no objects are inserted in the device.
• Under unfavourable light conditions, e.g. sun light, display visibility may be
impaired considerably.
• Moreover, make sure that the insulation (of the housing or the power cable) is nei-
ther damaged nor destroyed.
• Should you be in doubt as regards correct connection or should you have any
questions which are not clarified in these Operating Instructions, please do not
hesitate to contact our technical information service or another specialist.
