Safety instructions

In case of any damages which are caused due to the failure to observe
these operating instructions, the guarantee will expire! We do not assume
any liability for consequential damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury
caused by improper use or the failure to observe the safety instructions!
The warranty will be rendered null and void in such cases.
• The unauthorized conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible because of
safety and approval reasons (CE). Do not open/disasemble it! There are no parts on the inside
that need to be adjusted or maintained by you.
Maintenance, adjustment, or repair work must only be carried out by a specialist/specialist
workshop.
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the outdoor sensor emits
only relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to malfunction of life-supporting systems.
The same may possibly apply to other areas.
• The outdoor sensor is suitable for installation in protected outdoor areas.
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. The product contains
small parts, glass (display) and a battery. Place the product in a way that it is out of reach of
children.
• Do not leave the packaging material lying around carelessly since this may become a dan-
gerous toy for children.
• Use the device only in moderate climate regions and not in tropical climate.
• Handle the product with care. It will be damaged through impact, blows, or by being dropped
even from a low height.
Battery Notes
• Keep batteries out of reach of children.
• Please observe correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave the batteries lying around in the open; there is the risk of them being swallowed
by children or domestic animals. In such a case, seek immediate medical care.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable
protective gloves.
• Batteries must never be short-circuited, taken apart or thrown into fire. There is danger of
explosion!
• Conventional batteries must not be charged. There is danger of explosion!
• If not used for a longer period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted battery. If batter-
ies are too old, they may leak and cause damage to the product, which leads to the cancella-
tion of the warranty/guarantee.

°
1 LC display
Alternating display of the temperature and air humidity
2 Clip
Attachable on different positions of the outdoor sensor for installation
3 Battery holder
On the bottom of the outdoor sensor, for a battery type CR2032 (observe the polarity when
inserting the battery)
Setting up and Installation
Fix the outdoor sensor in a protected area outdoors, in a place that is in the shade all day long.
Otherwise the temperature reading will be useless because of the solar radiation.
The same is the case if there is rain or snow on the sensor (in this case the temperature sensor
would no longer measure the air temperature).
The outdoor sensor must not be operated in or under water.
Due to the integrated display it makes sense to choose an installation site where the display can
be read, for example, through a window.
Inserting/replacing the batteries
• Pull the battery holder (3) downwards out of the outdoor sensor and insert a CR2032 battery
into the battery holder.
The plus pole (marked with „+") points towards you (see illustration above).
• Slide the battery holder back into the outdoor sensor and observe the right polarity (plus pole
points towards the back of the device).

Install the outdoor sensor vertical (see illustration above).
The outdoor sensor can also be placed in a suitable spot with the clip (2) without
wall installation.
Make sure when drilling/tightening the screws that no power, gas or water
pipes are damaged. This can be life-threatening!
Before the final mounting, check the faultless radio reception. Observe a dis-
tance to big metal surfaces, electric and electronic devices.
Please observe the operating instructions for the weather station, in which
order the batteries have to be inserted in the outdoor sensor(s) and the
weather station.
If the correct order is not observed, the weather station does not recognise
the outdoor sensor(s) correctly, there is no measured data displayed.
A safety code prevents that the measuring values are displayed on other
sensors (e.g. your neighbour's weather station).
The weather station saves this code upon initial installation (prior to insert-
ing the batteries for the first time).
Please refer to the corresponding chapter in the weather station's opera-
tion manual („Using more than one outdoor sensor).
