Mounting variants
You can choose from different mounting variants. You should either assemble the earth
spit (Fig. 1/6) for individual placement of the sensor in loose soils like earth or sand, or
you should use the brass dowel (Fig. 1/5) for direct mounting of the sensor on bases like
wood or stone.
Assembling the earth spit
1. Lay the washer (Fig. 1/4) on the earth spit (Fig. 2/A). Make sure that the washer is
placed into the recess provided for this purpose.
2. Place the sensor on the earth spit (Fig. 2/B) and screw the earth spit fully onto the
thread of the sensor by turning it anti-clockwise (Fig. 3).

NOTE:
Choose a location for the schegoLUX-Sensor where it is neither covered, nor exposed to
excessive dirt. A covered or soiled sensor is unable to detect any changes in light
conditions and thus will not switch your garden and pond illumination on and off
correctly.
1. Check the strength of the subbase.
ATTENTION:
Highly compacted soil may damage the spit. In order to avoid any damage in such
cases we recommend to use the brass dowel for mounting the sensor on wooden or
stone bases.
2. Insert the sensor with spit directly into the ground at the desired location and check
its stability.
