Intended use
The hand-held radio transmitter is intended to be used to turn a consumer load, connected to the radio
controlled socket, on or off.
The radio remote control and the radio controlled sockets are only intended for use in dry indoor locations.
All the safety and operating instructions in this manual must be followed carefully. These instructions not
only protect the device but, in particular, your health. Please read the entire operating manual before using
the product.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of companies and
products are the trademarks of the respective owner. All rights reserved.
Safety instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions. We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused by improper
handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions. The warranty will be void in
such cases.
• The unauthorized opening, conversion and/or modification of this product is not permitted
because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the product emits only
relatively weak radio signals, these may lead to the malfunction of life-support systems. The
same may be the case in other areas.
• The product is designed in accordance with protection class I. Only a standard mains socket
(230 V/AC, 50 Hz with protective earth) for the public supply grid may be used as the power
source for the radio controlled socket(s).
• The hand-held radio transmitter is powered by a 12 V battery (type "23 A").
• The product is not a toy and must be kept out of the reach of children. Therefore, be especially
careful when children are around. Children might try to push objects through the socket open-
ings, for example. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• The radio remote control and the radio controlled sockets are only intended for use in dry
indoor locations.
• The power socket in which the switch socket is plugged must be easily accessible.
• Never touch the product, or the mains plug, with wet or damp hands when trying to connect to
the radio controlled socket. There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• Never remove a mains plug from the radio controlled socket by pulling on the power cable.
Always pull the plug from the radio controlled socket by gripping the area provided for this
purpose on its sides.
• Do not overload the radio controlled switch socket (take note of the input power in the techni-
cal data at the end of the operating manual!).
• Do not put more than one adaptor onto the unit!
• The unit is only without current, when the main plug is disconnected from the outlet.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous playthings for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.
• Stop using the product if its housing is damaged! If it is still connected to the mains voltage,
avoid contact with both the radio-operated socket and a device connected therein! Disconnect
all poles of the mains socket, to which the radio-operated socket is connected (disable the
connected Miniature Circuit Breaker (MCB) and Residual Current Operated Circuit Breaker
(RCCB)). Then pull out the radio-operated socket from the mains socket. Bring the product to
a specialty workshop or dispose it of in compliance with environmental regulations.
Battery notes
• Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swallowed by children or
domestic animals. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable protective
gloves.
• Make sure that the battery is neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries which
are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If the product is not to be used for a while (e.g. storage), remove the battery. Old batteries may leak and
cause damage to the product, which will lead to the loss of the warranty/guarantee.
• For the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries and rechargeable batteries, please read the chapter
"Disposal".

1) Keypad for switching channels 1 to 4 (left column "ON" = on, right column "OFF" = off).
2) Selector switch for switching group
A total of 16 radio receivers (e. g. radio controlled sockets can be connected). The 16 radio receivers are
categorised into 4 switching groups; switching groups: 1-4, 5-8, 9-12 as well as switching group 13-16.
3) "ALL-ON" button
By pressing this push button all taught receivers will be activated.
4) "ALL-OFF" button
By pressing this push button all taught receivers will be deactivated.
5) Control-LED (lights up when the buttons are used).
6) "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" button/LED
By using this button, the radio controlled socket can be activated or deactivated manually. At the same
time, this button is used as programming key.
7) Front socket for connecting a consumer load with child-proof lock.
Inserting/replacing the batteries
Open the battery compartment on the back of the hand-held radio transmitter and insert a 12 V-battery (type
"23 A") with the correct polarity (pay attention to the diagram in the battery compartment or the figure above).
Close the battery compartment.
The batteries need to be replaced if the range of the hand-held radio transmitter is significantly reduced or
the control LED (5) no longer lights when the buttons are used.
Programming the radio controlled socket for the radio remote control
• Set the switching group on the remote control, i.e. the one to which the radio controlled socket is to be
programmed, using the "Selector switch for switching group" (2) .
• Plug the radio controlled socket into a standard 230 V/AC 50 Hz household socket. The "ON/OFF/INDICA-
TOR" LED (6) then blinks.
• Before the LED stops blinking, press the ON "button for the desired switching channel" (1), to which the
radio controlled socket is to be programmed. The LED is on. The programming has been completed suc-
cessfully.
Programming a radio controlled socket for several radio remote controls
• Set the switching group on the remote control, i.e. the one to which the radio controlled socket is to be
programmed, using the "Selector switch for switching group" (2).
• Plug the radio controlled socket into a standard 230 V/AC, 50 Hz household socket and press the button
"ON/OFF/INDICATOR" (6), until the LED starts to flash red.
• Before the LED stops blinking, press the ON "button for the desired switching channel" (1), to which the
radio controlled socket is to be programmed. The LED is on. The programming has been completed suc-
cessfully.
Deleting programmed radio controlled sockets from the remote control
• Press the ON and OFF button simultaneously, for the switching channel to which the radio controlled
socket is programmed. The "ON/OFF/INDICATOR" LED (6) begins to blink.
• Now press the "ALL-ON" (3) button and the "ALL-OFF" (4) button simultaneously. The "ON/OFF/INDICA-
TOR" LED (6) goes out. The radio controlled socket has been deleted from the remote control successfully.
For each switching group, 4 receivers can be programmed.
Up to 10 radio channels can be programmed for the radio controlled socket.
For each switching group, 4 receivers can be programmed.
To delete one single receiver, press the corresponding OFF buttons for the switch chan-
nel, to which the receiver was programmed, instead of pressing the buttons "ALL-ON" (3)
and "ALL-OFF" (4).
