Setup functions
It is not normally necessary to set the calendar and time manually, as the device makes these set-
tings automatically once the DCF signal is received.
Tip for subsequent adjustments:
If, during setup, you hold down the – button or the + button instead of pressing it
briefly, then the values can be set faster (quick adjustment).
Setting the calendar
• Press the SET button briefly; the device switches to setup mode. The year is shown blinking on the
display.
• To set the year, press the + button or the – button.
• Press the SET button to confirm the year and to switch to the setup function for the month and day.
• Press the – button or the + button to set the date. Only the date changes. The month changes
automatically once you exceed the number of days in the month in question. The day of the week
is calculated automatically, so you do not need to set it.
Setting the time
• Once you have set the calendar, briefly press the SET button and the device switches to the time
setup function. The time begins to flash.
• Press the – button or the + button to set the current time.

a reduced brightness for six hours each day starting from a specified time.
• Press the NL SELECT button. „OFF" (function switched off) or „ON" (function switched on) appears
blinking in the display for the day of the week. At the same time, „-:--" appears in the time display

• To deactivate the night light function, press the NL SELECT button. Then press the – or + button
until „OFF" and „-:--" appear on the display. The night light function is switched off. The device
automatically exits the night light setup function after a moment.
Frequent use of the night light function reduces the service life of the batteries.

Display illumination

Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button and the display is briefly illuminated.
Daylight savings time function (DST)
The „DST" symbol appears on the display during the daylight saving period.
RESET (reset to factory settings)
In case of electrostatic discharge or after a battery change, it may be possible that the clock mal-
functions (e.g. strange characters on the display). In this case, perform a RESET (reset to factory set-
tings). Press the RESET button with a pointed object, e.g. a toothpick. The display goes off briefly
and then reappears. The clock will start to try and receive the DCF signal. Previously programmed
data, such as the alarm time, will be lost and should be set again, if necessary.
Maintenance, cleaning and service instructions
The table clock is maintenance-free apart from changing the battery, therefore you should never
open it. If you do open it, the warranty will lapse. The outside of the device should be cleaned with a
clean dry cloth or brush only. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents or chemical solutions which could
damage the housing or the display or impair operation.
Disposal
Dispose of the device in accordance with the valid statutory regulations once it has become
unusable.
Disposal of flat batteries/accumulators
You as the consumer are legally obligated (battery ordinance) to return all spent batte-
ries and accumulators; disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
Batteries/accumulators containing hazardous substances are marked by symbols. These
symbols also indicate that it is prohibited to dispose of these batteries in the household
waste. The codes for the heavy metals concerned are: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb
= lead. You can return flat batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge to the collec-
tion points in your community, our branches or anywhere else where batteries or rechar-
geable batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil the legal requirements and make your contribution to the protection of the
environment!
