9. Handling

Take note of all the safety instructions in these operating instructions.
Operating the outdoor unit is only allowed in protected outdoor areas (e.g. under a porch).
Operation of the indoor unit and the mains adaptor is only allowed in dry indoor areas.
Never touch the mains adaptor with wet or damp hands. There is a risk of a fatal electric shock.
• Ensure that the surveillance camera is sufficiently ventilated. It must be installed so that air
circulation is ensured. Keep a sufficient distance to flammable or easily flammable surfaces/
objects
• When assembling the device, make sure the cables are not bent or jammed.
• Check the product for damage before each use. If you notice any damage, the product must not be
used anymore. Disconnect the surveillance camera from the mains voltage.
• Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if
- the device is visibly damaged,
- the device is no longer functional and
- the unit was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- if it has been subjected to considerable stress in transit.
• The product must not be opened/disassembled or modified.
• Place the indoor unit on a sufficiently large, even and stable surface.
Precious furniture surfaces must be protected with a suitable surface to prevent scratches.

10. Maintenance and cleaning

A clean, dry and soft cloth is sufficient to clean the outdoor unit of the intercom.
Clean the camera lens and the display carefully in order to prevent scratches. Do not press the display too hard.
Do not use any acidic cleaning agents or chemicals, this may cause stains to the housing.
