INSTALLATION
fit the device on load bearing parts, such as uprights on shelves, rafters, battens,
etc. which guarantee optimum transmission of the vibrations to the desired area. it
is most important to choose the place from which the vibrations are most effec-
tively transmitted. if the desired effect is not produced after 2 to 3 weeks, change
the place where the device is fitted.
Note: with the connector and if necessary with the 20 m extension cord. care
should be taken that a secure and permanent connection is produced. if the device
is screwed into planking, the length of the screws must be so chosen that a solid
connection is obtained with the substructure. this is the prerequisite for the system
to work properly. if necessary tighten screws.
COmmISSIONING
the power can be supplied by means of the plug-power supply unit (part no. 08102)
or by a dc source with any voltage between 6 and 14 volts (e. g. a car battery). a
connection cable with a self cleaning special plug is necessary for this purpose
(part no. 08020, 20 m).
in order to prevent animals getting used to the noise the device operates in impul-
ses at irregular intervals. Long pauses are, therefore, normal.
