Safety Instructions and Hazard Warnings

The warranty will become void in the event of any
damage caused by failure to observe these Opera-
ting Instructions. We cannot accept any liability for
consequential damage.
We cannot accept any liability for damage to pro-
perty or physical injury caused by improper use or
failure to observe the Safety Instructions. The war-
ranty will become void in such cases.
Unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the device are not
permitted for safety and (CE) approval reasons.
The Gas Detector is equipped with high-performance electronic
circuitry and is therefore extremely sensitive to shocks, knocks,
etc. which can damage the Gas Detector. Blowing directly onto the
gas sensor (2) or exposing it to moisture can also damage the Gas
Detector - it must therefore be handled with care. The device is not
suitable for continuous operation and must only be used for short-
time measurements (note battery life). The device must only be
regarded as an auxiliary instrument, if there are reasonable grounds
to suspect a gas leak, especially in complex gas systems such as
heating systems or stoves, it is advisable not to make measure-
ments yourself and always call in an expert. Do not take unneces-
sary risks; once a gas leak has been detected, leave everything
else, especially repairs, to an expert who is familiar with the
corresponding risks and regulations.
Observe all the other Safety Instructions in these Operating Instruc-
tions.

The cover protects the sensitive gas sensor against damage. Re-
place the cover whenever you finish using the Detector.
(2) Gas sensor
The sensor is the heart of the Gas Detector, it detects gas and con-
verts this information into electrical pulses which are interpreted by
the analysis circuitry.
(3) LED display
The LED display indicates the various operating states of the device.
(4) On/off switch
This switch is used to switch the device on or off. The device is
switched on when the switch is depressed.
(5) Battery compartment cover
(6) Carry strap
