8. Operation/Programming

a) Data displaying

The operation of the device is effected very easily via one button only in connection with a quick
clear menu.
After switching the power supply of the "ES-5" on, the name of the device and the software
version appear briefly in the display.
Afterwards the display switches to the current measured values of current and voltage of the
photo-voltaic installation.
By briefly pressing the button, you switch to the following measured values. The following
sequence appears in the display:
• Current and voltage
• Output and the energy value for the interval measurement
• Minimal and maximal recorded current values
• Minimal and maximal recorded voltage values
• Minimal an maximal determined outputs
• Recorded total energy

b) Resetting MIN/MAX values

• The Min/Max energy values can be reset at any time by pushing the button for approxi-
mately 3 seconds.
As soon as the indication "Min/Max Reset?" appears, release the button and the reset takes
place.
After the reset, the minimal and maximal values initially assume the immediately following
measured current or provided value before a recording of Min/Max value takes place
regularly with further determined values.
In the display, the reset is confirmed via the indication of "Min/Max Reset durchgeführt!"
(= "Min/Max reset carried out!").
• In order to reset the energy interval value, push the button for approximately 6 seconds.
Release the button as soon as "Energie Reset?" (= "Energy Reset?") appears in the display.
The energy interval value is thereby reset and "Energie Reset durchgeführt!" (= "Energy
Reset carried out!") appears in the display.
