c) Charging the mobile device
• Connect the micro-USB socket (4) to your mobile device/ smartphone via the included charg-
ing cable.
• Press the button (6) briefly to enable the charging function. The green LED "C" lights up (if no
device is connected or no charging current is detected, the green LED "C" will go out after a
few seconds).
The micro-USB output now supplies voltage/ current (5 V/DC, max. 1 A) to the connected
mobile device/ smartphone, whose charging function has to start. Check its display.
• Monitor the charging process. Once the mobile device/ smartphone is fully charged (or the
rechargeable battery of the solar-powered torch is empty), the charging function of the solar-
powered torch will turn off.
The mobile device may not be completely charged as the capacity of the recharge-
able battery in the solar-powered torch may be lower than that in the mobile device.
• If a single red LED flashes, the battery of the solar-powered torch is empty. The charging
process will be automatically terminated to protect the battery from deep discharge.
• To stop charging, disconnect the cable connection between your mobile device/ smartphone
and the solar-powered torch by unplugging the micro-USB connector of the charging cable
from the port on the solar-powered torch.
d) Using the torch function
• To activate the torch function, press and hold down the button (6) (for about 3 seconds) until
the four white LEDs (1) light up. Then, release the button again.
The red LEDs show the current charge level of the built-in rechargeable battery for a few
seconds and then turn off.
• Briefly press the button (6) to switch between continuous and flashing light modes.
• To turn off, press and hold down the button (6) (for about 3 seconds) until the white LEDs go
out.

Please dispose of the device, when it is no longer of use, according to current statu-
tory requirements.
