• Charge the rechargeable battery about every 3 months, as otherwise, there may
a so called deep discharge due to the self-discharge, which makes rechargeable
battery useless.
• An empty battery must be recharged as soon as possible. Never store the re-
chargeable battery when it is empty, otherwise this may result in a deep-discharge
which in turn will destroy the battery.
d) LED torch
• Do not expose the torch to high/low temperatures, damp or strong vibrations. The
torch is not suitable for use in or under water.
• Caution, LED light: Do not look directly into the LED light! Do not look into the
beam directly or with optical instruments! Danger of damage to eyes!
• Do not point the light beam directly at people or animals! Do not point the light
beam at mirrors or other reflective surfaces. The uncontrolled, reflected beam may
strike people or animals.

Charging the rechargeable battery

• Plug the wall plug transformer into a mains socket.
• Insert the rechargeable battery in the charging slot of the charger observing the correct
polarity (positive/+ and negative/-). The charging process starts automatically.
During the charging process the LED of the battery charger light orange. When the battery is
fully charged, the LED changes its colour to green.
With a completely empty rechargeable battery, the charging procedure lasts approximately 5
hours.
• After completing the charging procedure, remove the rechargeable battery from the charger
and disconnect the charger from the mains voltage.
Inserting the rechargeable battery into the LED torch
• Remove the lock on the rear of the LED torch's shaft by turning it (turn it to the left, in counter-
clockwise direction).
• Insert the battery into the LED torch observing the correct polarity. The positive pole (+) must
point towards the LED.
• Screw the lock on to the LED torch shaft again.

Operation

a) Switching on/off, selecting light intensity levels
The LED torch is switched on or off by pressing the button on the shaft end.
You can select between 3 different light intensity levels by switching the torch on/of several
times:
On (100%) -> Off -> On (50%) -> Off -> On (25%) -> Off -> On (100%) -> .....
The lower the selected brightness, the longer the operating time of the LED torch.
Depending on the selected light intensity level, the LED torch gets warm when it is
used (in particular, near the light head). This warming is normal.
b) Focussing the light beam
By turning the front end of the LED torch, the light beam can be focused (pointed light for longer
distances, or flat light for shorter distances).
c) Attaching the wrist strap
If required, the wrist strap can be fastened on a small hole of the lock. For this purpose, insert
the thin end of the wrist strap in the hole. Then place the thick end of the wrist strap through the
loop of the thin end and pull the wrist strap tight.

Maintenance and cleaning

The product does not require any maintenance by the user; therefore, do not disassemble it
(except for replacing the rechargeable battery of the LED torch).
For the cleaning of the product you can use a soft, clean, dry cloth.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions since these might damage the
surface of the casing or impair the operation.
Disposal
a) General
Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statutory regu-
lations.
b) Disposal of used batteries/rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/rechar-
geable batteries; disposing them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the
following symbols, which indicate that disposal in the household waste is prohibited.
The symbols of the relevant heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb =
Lead.
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official collection
points in your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or rechargeable batteries
are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment!
