Getting started
STEP 1
Turning ON the Contact 1600 unit from power OFF
When the STANDBY light at the front of the unit is OFF, then follow
these instructions:
•
Make sure the TV monitor is powered ON.
•
Set the power switch at the rear of the Contact 1600 to the ON position.
Turning ON the Contact 1600 unit from STANDBY
When the STANDBY light at the front of the unit is amber, then follow
these instructions:
•
Make sure the TV monitor is powered ON.
•
Press and hold the POWER button on the remote control for 1 second.
Note : If the TV does not show the Start-up Screen, change the CONF/DOC/TV
switch on the remote control to TV and select the correct AV channel on the TV
monitor by pressing the Video Input Select button on the remote control. Switch
CONF/DOC/TV back to CONF after this.
STEP 2
Using Manual Dial
•
Press the CONNECT/DISCONNECT button.
•
Select the line interface: ISDN, LAN or ISDN
•
Enter the ISDN numbers of the remote party/parties in cells A1, A2,
B1, B2, C1 and C2, or when using line interface: LAN enter the IP
address or host name in the IP address box.
•
Select Dial or press CONNECT/DISCONNECT to initiate the call.
Note 1: Number of lines: you can select the number of B-channels used for the call.
2B means you use 1 ISDN line.
Note 2 : You can select the relevant prefix for i.e. dialling an outside line.
Note 3 : Always set "Restrict" to Auto.
Using the Phone Book
•
Press the PHONE BOOK button on the remote control.
•
Select the remote party via the joystick on the remote control then
press the joystick.
•
Select Dial with the joystick on the remote control then press the
joystick or press CONNECT/DISCONNECT.
STEP 3
Disconnecting
•
To disconnect, press the CONNECT/DISCONNECT button on the
remote control.
•
Select OK to disconnect and end the meeting, or press CONNECT/
DISCONNECT
STEP 4
Powering OFF the Contact 1600 unit
•
Press the power button to put the unit in STANDBY mode.
•
To completely power down the Contact 1600, set the switch at the
rear of the unit to the OFF position.
