4. Connect the other side of the adapter cable to the
connecting plug on the tripod with the 8-pin socket.
5. Follow the previous instructions for connecting the adapter
cable and the endoscope. The sockets on the adapter
cable are of a different size.
c) Using the reel
1. The open hook on the reel frame is for safely stowing the camera head. Before using
the camera, remove this from the reel to prevent damage to the camera cable.
2. Handle the connection cable with care; it must not get into the reel. Slowly guide the
endoscope camera into the pipe system to be inspected. Push the camera cable
forwards slowly and carefully. The camera may be damaged if force is used or if you
proceed too quickly.
3. Do not pull on the camera with force.
4. After you have finished inspecting, carefully guide the camera with the camera cable
backwards and wrap the endoscope cable onto the reel. Carefully guide the endoscope
cable backwards with your hand to prevent damage. Do not wrap the cable by turning
the reel. Wipe the camera neck with a damp cloth before winding it back up and then
dry it.
5. Hook the camera head into the spiral hook to prevent accidental damage during
transport. Secure the camera head and connection socket in order to protect them
against damage.
d) Securing/changing the protective cap
The camera is equipped with a protective cap to protect against contamination. It can be
removed to clean the camera head.
1. To remove the protective cap, turn it in an anticlockwise direction. Do not use any
force in order to prevent damage to the cap. You now have access to the camera
head. Proceed in reverse order to replace the protective cap.
e) Operation
1. Turn the endoscope on.
2. Set the brightness of the camera LEDs. Information on controlling the LED brightness
can be found in the operating instructions of the connected endoscope.
3. Turn off the endoscope after you have finished using it.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

a) Cleaning
• The device does not require maintenance except for cleaning and lubrication. The ball
bearings on the reel should be lubricated with a small amount of oil or grease from time to
time. Use resin-free and acid-free products.
• Use a small brush or a cotton bud to clean the camera lens.
• Use a soft, antistatic and lint-free cloth to clean the device. Do not use any abrasive or
chemical cleaning materials.
• Let the camera head dry before putting the camera cap on as thread protection.
• After inserting the camera neck into liquid, rinse it thoroughly with clean water and dry it
before storing it for the next use.
b) Changing the camera head
The camera head on the top of the flexible cable is replaceable. Purchase a suitable
replacement head.
• Begin by removing the Allen screw using the Allen key included with the product.
• The Allen screw is very small - stick it to a piece of packaging tape so that you will not lose
it easily. A replacement Allen screw is included with the product. Unscrew the camera insert
carefully in an anticlockwise direction using your hand. Grip the end of the metal spiral
underneath the camera head.
• Inspect the sealing ring for damage. Replace it if it is damaged.
• Clean the fine thread and screw holes thoroughly and remove any dirt. If necessary, use a
small amount of light, fine mechanical oil such as sewing machine oil for the threads.
• Screw the new camera head into place in a clockwise direction. The connection must be
waterproof.
• Then screw the Allen screw through the thread opening into the groove on the camera
head to fix the camera head in place. Screw the Allen screw tight enough so that it will not
become loose and fall off when using the inspection camera.
DISPOSAL
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
