6. Battery notes

• Batteries have no place in the hands of children.
• Check that the polarity is correct when inserting the batteries/rechargeable batteries (pay attention
to plus/+ and minus/-).
• Do not leave batteries lying around. Pets or small children might swallow them. If swallowed, con-
sult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use suitable pro-
tective gloves.
• Make sure that the batteries are neither short-circuited nor thrown into a fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge normal batteries. There is a risk of explosion! Only charge rechargeable batteries
which are intended for this purpose; use a suitable battery charger.
• If not used for a longer period (e.g. in case of storage), remove the inserted batteries. If batteries are
too old, they may leak and cause damage to the product, which leads to the cancellation of the war-
ranty/guarantee.
• Read the chapter on "Disposal" for the environmentally friendly disposal of batteries.
