Functional Description
The device consists of a transmitter and a receiver unit. The transmitter is activated by pressing
a button. A coded signal is sent. This signal is picked up and evaluated by the receiver unit. An
audio module with a loudspeaker and optical signalling (LEDs) are built into the receiver unit.
This unit then generates a melody you have previously specified and the LEDs flash. Alterna-
tively, just the LEDs may flash. You can adjust the audio signal using the three-level switch on
the receiver.
You can adjust the coding between the transmitter unit and the receiver unit with the 8 DIP
switches. This prevents other similar devices from being improperly triggered.
Placing the System in Operation
Turn off the device to be connected before attaching it to the connection
socket. Do not place it in operation again until you have made all neces-
sary connections and checked them over once again.
Proceed in a similar manner if you are making changes to the circuitry of
the device.
To guarantee proper commissioning, you should read these operating
instructions including the safety instructions thoroughly and attentively
before using the system.
The range between the transmitter and the receiver unit is about 50 meters. Take care that this
distance is not exceeded.
Before placing devices definitively in their desired locations, we recommend that you test their
functionality. Various factors may affect the range (see the following list).
Make certain that the transmitter can only be used in dry inside areas or in protected outside
areas.

Operation with a direct current source
• Use a direct current source of from 6 to 12 V that has
a minimum load capacity of 200 mA.
• Plug the low voltage connector into the socket (10).
The low voltage connector must have the dimensions
5.5 x 2.5 mm.
Make certain the polarity is correct.
Incorrect polarity will inevitably result in destroying the device!
• The transmitter is now ready for operation.
Operation
Use the slide switch (11) to adjust to the desired mode.
Choose from visual only or visual and audio signal.
You can use the slide switch (12) to select from among the various audio melodies.
Press the (1) key on the transmitter. The transmitter diode (2) lights up and radio signal trans-
mission begins. The receiver transmits the mode you have set.
To turn off the receiver, move the slide switch (11) to the "0" position.
The hand transmitter does not need to be turned off in addition.
