Intended Use
The LED spotlight is intended for illuminating house entrances, driveways, etc. It may be
installed in outdoor areas (taking into account the installation location!).
Any other use than that described above may damage the product. Moreover, this may give rise
to hazards such as short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of the product may be mod-
ified or converted!
The safety instructions must be observed at all times!

Explanation of the Symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of electric
shock.
This symbol indicates specific risks associated with handling, function and use.
The "arrow" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
The product is not dimmable!
The device is suitable for direct mounting on normal flammable surfaces.
IP64 The product is suitable for use outdoors.
Defective safety glass must be replaced immediately; if the safety
glass is defective the product must not be used.
Observe the operating instructions!

Safety Instructions

Please read all of the operating instructions before using the product for the
first time; they contain important information about the correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by
improper use or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases
the warranty will be null and void.
a) In general
• The unauthorised conversion and/or modification of the product is inadmissible
because of safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The design of the product complies with protection class I, the protective earth con-
ductor must be connected.
• Do not leave packing materials unattended. They may become dangerous play-
things for children.
• Any maintenance or repair work may only be performed by an authorised repair
shop.
• On industrial sites, the accident prevention regulations of the association of the
industrial workers' society for electrical equipment and utilities must be followed!
• If you have any questions that are not answered in this instruction manual, please
contact our technical support centre or consult a professional.
b) Operation
• The product is not a toy. Keep devices that operate on the mains voltage out of the
reach of children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Install and use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product may be used outdoors and indoors.
For outdoor use, the correct mounting position has to be observed. The connec-

tion cable, and the cable gland respectively must be pointed downwards.

The product is suitable for outdoor use (IP64), however, it must never be used in
or under water!
• The product may only be operated on the mains voltage (see section "Technical
data").
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress. Only use the product when it is firmly mounted/steady.
Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental
drops, even from a low height.
• Do not use the product in rooms or in poor ambientconditions where flammable
gases, vapours or explosive dust may be present or are present! There is a risk of
explosion!
• Attention, LED light:
Do not look directly into the LED light!
Do not look into the beam directly or with optical instruments!
• Never cover the product when it is in use.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you find any damage, you must not use the product!
If you detect any damage while the product is in use, do not touch the product,
there is a danger of an electric shock!
Disconnect all poles of the light from the power supply (e.g. switch off at the cor-
responding circuit breaker or remove the fuse and, additionally, switch of at the
corresponding earth leakage circuit breaker).
If you observe any damage, do not use the product any longer, take it to a spe-
cialised workshop or dispose of it in an environmentally friendly manner.
• It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the product shows visible signs of damage,
- the product does not function or does not function properly (e.g, smell of burning,
flickering)
- the product was transported or stored under unfavourable conditions.
Preparations for Installation
The product may only be installed by a qualified technician (e.g. electrician)
who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German electrical
wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your own
life but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but ask a qualified technician.
Observe the safety instructions!
Without fail, pay attention to the correct mounting position of the LED spot-
light; only install it with the connection cable, and the cable gland respective-
ly pointing downwards.
• Only install the LED spotlight on a stable surface. Use screws and plugs that are suitable for
the surface.
• The LED spotlight must be protected on the sub-distribution board by a 10/16A fuse. An earth
leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
• The LED spotlight must be disconnected from the power supply during installation. It is not suf-
ficient to just turn off at the light switch!
Turn the power off by removing the corresponding circuit fuse or switch off at the circuit breaker.
Secure it against an unauthorised re-start, e.g. with a danger sign. In addition, switch off the asso-
ciated earth-leakage circuit breaker.
• Check that the mains connection is current free with a suitable tester.
