• Connect the mains lead, using the terminal block (brown cable = L, blue cable = N).
Make sure, the cables are not jammed or damaged.
If there is an earth cable for your mains supply (green/yellow line), you will need an
additional separate clamp (not provided). Using this clamp, the end of the earth
cable is secured, to a avoid a short circuit in the installation box.
Check if the screwed fixtures on the cabling for the light are tight enough, if not tight-
en them.
• Replace the cover of the installation box and screw it tightly into place using the 4 screws (pay
attention to the correct fit of the seal!).
• Screw an appropriate bulb (max. 60W) in the E27 socket.
• Finally, replace the glass front and the stainless steel cover and secure in place with the
release lever. Check the glass front/stainless steel cover is seated correctly, before releasing
your grip!
Function and Adjustment of the Motion Detector
The motion detector responds to temperature changes within the detection range, e.g. if a per-
son, an animal or a car enters the detection area.
After turning on the mains voltage, it takes about 30-60 seconds until the motion detector has
adjusted to the background temperature and is able to recognise changes in temperature.
Fold up the cover of the motion detector, there under are the
adjustment buttons.
A = Brightness sensor
B = Sensitivity setting
C = On-time setting
• Setting of the brightness sensor (A)
With this control button, the brightness (e.g. dusk) can be set, at which the motion detector
becomes active. The further the control is turned clockwise, the later it will be activated.
• Setting the sensitivity (B)
The more the control is turned to the left, the more sensitive is the reaction of the motion detec-
tor; i.e. it responds more quickly to slight temperature changes in the detection area.
• Setting the on-time (C)
Using this control, you can set the duration for the on-time. Turning the control counter clock-
wise shortens the on-time, turning clockwise lengthens it. The on-time is from 10±5 seconds
to 4±1 minutes.
If the lamp has been activated and during the on-time the motion detector recognises another
movement, the on-time is restarted.
Changing the Light Bulb
Proceed with caution. Danger of being burnt!
Before you replace a faulty bulb, wait until the faulty bulb and the table lamp have
cooled down.
Then disconnect the wall-mounted outdoor lamp from the mains voltage; switch off
the corresponding circuit breaker and the FI protection switch.
• Hold the glass front and the stainless steel cover firmly and release the lever on top. Remove
the glass front and the stainless steel cover carefully from the front.
• Remove the old bulb and insert a new one (light bulb, max. 60W).
• Finally, replace the glass front and the stainless steel cover and secure in place with the
release lever. Check the glass front/stainless steel cover is seated correctly, before you
release your grip!
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp can now be reconnected to the mains voltage and used;
check that the bulb functions.
Maintenance and Care
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp is maintenance-free, except for the occasional replacement of
the light bulb.
• Switch off the wall-mounted outdoor lamp or disconnect it from the mains voltage before clean-
ing. After that, allow sufficient time for the wall light to cool down.
• The outdoor of the wall lamp should only be wiped with a clean, soft, dry cloth. Where it
becomes very dirty, use a cloth which is slightly moistened with lukewarm water.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions that could damage the housing
(discolouring) or impair operation.
Do not press too hard on the housing, as scratches might appear.
Never spray water e.g. from a garden hose on the wall-mounted outdoor lamp!
Handling
If you have a reason to believe that the device can no longer be operated safely, disconnect it
immediately and secure it against being operated unintentionally.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if:
- the device shows visible signs of damage
- the device no longer works
- the device was stored under unfavourable conditions for a long period of time or
- the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport
Disposal
Please dispose of the device when it is no longer of use, according to the current
statutory requirements.
