tant information on its correct operation.
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions. We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
We do not accept liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper handling or non-compliance with the safety instructions! The

safety and approval reasons (CE).
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibrations or
heavy mechanical stress.
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach
of children! There is a risk of a lethal electric shock!
• The product is constructed according to protection class II.
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp is only to be used with a voltage supply of
230V~/50Hz. Never try to operate the wall-mounted outdoor lamp with a different
voltage, this may cause it to be permanently damaged.
• Do not use the wall-mounted outdoor lamp in rooms or under adverse ambient
conditions where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be present!
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp is protected against water spray (IP44).
The first digit "4" indicates personnel protection isolation (protection against
touching active or internal moving parts with tools, wires or the like with a diame-
ter larger than 1 mm) and protection against dust deposit.
The second digit "4" indicates protection against water spray.
Never direct a jet of water (e.g. for cleaning) from a garden hose, or similar, at the
wall-mounted outdoor lamp!
When installed correctly, the wall-mounted outdoor lamp is suitable for use out-

Please note:
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp may only be mounted on to a vertical wall.
• Without fail, pay attention to the correct mounting position for the wall-mounted outdoor lamp;
it must only be mounted so the motion detector points downwards.
• Only install the wall-mounted lamp on a stable surface, e.g. brickwork. Depending on the sur-
face, suitable screws and plugs should be used.
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp must be installed and used out of the reach of children.
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp must be secured on the user's distribution board by a 10/16A
fuse.
An earth leakage circuit breaker must be installed before this (FI protective switch).
• The wall-mounted outdoor lamp must be voltage-free during installation. It is not sufficient to
just turn off at the light switch!
Turn the power off and remove the electric circuit fuse or switch off the circuit breaker. Secure
it against an unauthorised re-start, e.g. with a danger sign.
• Check that the mains cable is free of current e.g. with an appropriate tester.
Installation
• There is a plastic release lever, on the top behind thestain-
less steel cover.
Move it in the direction of the arrow (see figure below), to
remove the stainless steel cover and the glass front.
• Open the cover of the installation box by removing its four
screws, see arrow in the figure below.
• Then, align the wall-mounted outdoor lamp with the installa-
tion cable, so it can be fed through the seal into the installa-
tion box.
• Secure the back of the wall-mounted outdoor lamp, using the mounting holes, with appropri-
ate screws and plugs to the wall.
• The ideal height for the motion detector is at about 2 - 2.5 m. The lower the installation height,
the lower is the range of the motion detector.
The wall-mounted outdoor lamp may only be installed by a qualified techni-
cian who is familiar with the relevant regulations (e.g. VDE, German electrical
wiring regulations)!
Improper work, carried out on the mains voltage, endangers not only your
own life but also the life of others!
If you do not have the expertise required for the installation, do not install it
yourself but ask a qualified technician.
If attention is not taken to the mounting position, water might penetrate the lamp,
danger of a fatal electric shock!
Please pay attention to the information in the chapter "Preparations for
Installation"!
When piercing the rubber seal, ensure the hole for the cable is not too large.
Otherwise water might penetrate the housing, causing a short-circuit. Fill a hole,
which was cut too big, with a little silicone, for example.
The wall-mounted outdoor lamp must only be mounted to a vertical wall, the motion
detector has to be directed downwards.
When drilling the mounting holes or screwing into place, ensure that no existing
electrical cable, gas or water pipes are damaged.
