General configuration

The following description refers to the accompanying English programming
instructions of the manufacturer. These instructions include all necessary codes
that you need for configuration.
Some of the configuration codes are listed next to each other. Here, you should
cover the other codes with your hand or a piece of paper, except the one you want
to scan.
Naturally, you can also configure the bar code scanner before it is connected to a
device.
• "Default" refers to the factory settings.
• The scanner must be in normal mode during the configuration.
• To change the settings, scan the bar code of each setting. The setting is applied immediately.
• When programming the bar code languages ("Bar Code Configuration Method"), first read
the "Start Configuration" bar code with the scanner.
• Then, read the code to enable or disable the desired bar code language. You must always
use the "ENABLE" bar code to enable or "DISABLE" to disable, which is in the same row as
the desired language bar code. Naturally, it is also possible to switch multiple languages on
or off at the same time.
• Finally, scan the "End Configuration" bar code as the last code to exit the programming mode.

Operation

• First, open the program or app into which you want to scan the bar code. This can be a text
program, a notepad, or e.g. even a website.
• To scan a bar code now, press and hold down the orange Scan button on the handle of
the scanner and move the red light bar over the bar code. Alternatively, you can also target
the bar code and press the button. You should avoid reading the bar code at a 90° angle.
Therefore, hold the scanner somewhat at an angle while reading. On this, see the image in
the accompanying English programming instructions.
Once the scanner beeps, the code is read and, depending on the operating mode, transmitted
to the receiver or saved. At the same time, the LED on the scanner lights up green briefly.
• If the scanner is not used for more than a minute, it will automatically enter the standby mode.
To reactivate the scanner, press the scan button. After that, the LED flashes orange fast, and
then the scanner beeps once. When the LED briefly lights up a steady red, the scanner is
active again.
• To put the bar code scanner in energy-saving mode manually, press and hold the button to
the right of the orange button for about 2 to 3 seconds. As soon as the scanner beeps, it is
in standby mode.
• Using the left button, if you are operating the scanner with an iPad or iPhone, you can show
or hide the keyboard on the device.
Otherwise, the button uncouples the scanner from your device. To do so, press and hold the
button for approx. 4 seconds. However, to do this, the scanner must be switched on.
• If you press the left and right buttons at the same time, the bar code scanner is placed in the
deep sleep mode. To wake it up, press and hold the orange button for approx. 8 seconds.
Resetting to factory settings
• On the underside of the bar code scanner, there is a small hole at the top left. The reset
button is located there.
• Press this button briefly with a sharp object (e.g. a paper clip).
• Alternatively, you can scan codes A1 to A8 ("HID" profile) or B1 to B8 ("SPP" profile) with
the scanner.
• The LED of the scanner flashes orange for a few seconds. The scanner beeps, and the LED
briefly turns a steady red. After that, the scanner is reset to default values.
Care and cleaning
• Disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning.
• The product requires no servicing on your part aside from occasional cleaning.
• Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions as
they can cause damage to the housing and malfunctioning.
• Clean the product with a dry, fiber-free cloth.
• Clean the product very carefully; otherwise you may scratch it.
• Do not press too heavily on the glass cover, as this can lead to breakage.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
