radiant heater is used in an energy-saving manner and only switched on when needed.

b) Installation location
• The product must only be used in dry, closed interiors, it may not get damp or wet!
Never set up the product in the direct vicinity of a bathroom, a shower or a bathing
tub or the like! There is a danger to life through an electric shock!
• Choose an appropriate mounting place. It must be fi xed, big enough, level, stable
and far away from infl ammable materials and items.
The oil-fi lled radiant heater is only suitable for mounting on a horizontal, level,
even and suffi ciently big surface (fl oor).
• Never place the heater on an unstable or moving surface. Always set up the radi-
ant heater in a way it cannot tilt or fall. Tilting/falling can cause a fi re hazard and
persons could be injured or the product could be damaged.
• The heavy weight and the moveable casters may cause pressure marks or scratch
marks on the fl oor. Therefore, do not place the heater on valuable fl oors without
suitable protection!
• Never use the oil-fi lled radiant heater in vehicles of any kind or similar mobile loca-
tions or rooms.
• Unwind the mains cable completely during operation. The power cable must not
be pinched or damaged by contact with sharp edges. Do not place any objects on
the cable, and do not allow it to become kinked. Install the cable where no one can
stumble over it and the plug is easily accessible. Do not install the mains cable
under carpets or the like.
• Do not operate the device in environments where there are high levels of dust,
fl ammable gases, vapours or solvents. There is a danger of fi re and explosion!
c) Handling and operation
• Never plug in or unplug the plug-in power unit with damp or wet hands. There is a
risk to life through an electric shock!
• When using the heater for the fi rst time, hot parts of the case may cause an irritat-
ing odour for a while. If you experience this, ventilate the room where the heater is
installed.
• Always pull the mains plug on the gripping surface intended for this purpose.
Never unplug the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling the cable!
• Unwind the mains cable completely during operation. If the cable is not unwound
completely, it can cause overheating; danger of fi re!
• Do not use the product when it is damaged (e.g. housing, mains cable). A defec-
tive connecting cable may only be replaced by a specialist. There is a risk to life
through an electric shock!
• Always pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before cleaning the oil-fi lled
radiant heater or when the device has not been in use for a long time.
• Always leave suffi cient space from combustible or fl ammable materials or objects
(curtains, doors, furniture etc.). If the distance is too small, there is a risk of fi re.
Never operate the oil-fi lled radiant heater in cabinets or other small closed rooms.
Fire hazard!.
Never cover the heater!
• Never pour any liquids on or next to the product. It can cause fi re or perilous
electric shock danger. If liquids get into the device, immediately isolate the mains
socket (fuse/circuit breaker/earth leakage circuit breaker), then separate the
mains plug from the mains socket and consult an expert. Do not operate the de-
vice anymore.
• The oil-fi lled radiant heater gets very hot after a short operating time, risk of getting
