b) Mounting item no. 1582599
These mounting instructions apply to the code lock with item no. 1582600.
When drilling/tightening screws, ensure that you do not damage existing cables or
wires.
• Remove the rear cover of the code lock by unscrewing the four housing screws.
• Use the connection cable harness with the 6-pin connector to connect the code lock. Do
not forgot to connect the power supply to the code lock! Consult the instruction manual for
circuit examples.
• Replace and secure the rear cover, ensuring that you do not squash any cables.
• Insert the code lock into the wall-mounted housing and fix it in place using the TX hex key
provided.
Refer to the instruction manual for detailed images and information on setting up,
using and connecting the product.
c) Mounting item no. 1582600
These mounting instructions apply to the code lock with item no. 1582600.
• When mounting the box on stone walls, you can fix it in place with mortar, filler or construction
foam. Once the setting process is complete, additional fixtures are only required in exceptional
circumstances. Remove any residual mortar or construction foam that is protruding from the
wall using appropriate measures to ensure that the wall is level.
• Use the four mounting brackets on the flush-mounted box as a template and drill four holes.
Use dowels on stone walls. Dowels are not required for other types of surface.
When drilling into walls or drilling/tightening screws, ensure that you do not damage
existing cables or wires.
• Run the connection cables to the mounting location and guide them through the cable guide
on the bottom of the code lock. We recommend that you place the cables between the code
lock and the control unit in suitable installation pipes rather than fixing them inside the wall.
• Use the connection cable harness with the 6-pin connector to connect the cables. Do not
forget to connect the power supply to the code lock! Consult the instruction manual for circuit
examples.
• Place the code lock back into the flush-mounted box and screw it into place.
Refer to the instruction manual for detailed images and information on setting up,
using and connecting the product.
d) Mounting the control unit
These instructions for installing the control unit apply to item nos. 1582599 and 1582600.
• Unscrew the two screws on the top cover to access the screw terminals.
• Install the control unit in a suitable location. Depending on the surface, screws and dowels
may be required.
When drilling/tightening screws, ensure that you do not damage existing cables or
wires.
• Connect the cables to the screw terminal in the control unit. Refer to the instruction manual
for circuit examples.
• Remove the cover and screw it in place.
• Remove the code lock from the housing.
Unscrew and remove the screw on the
outer edge using the TX hex key provided.
• Run the necessary connection cables to
the mounting location. We recommend
that you place the cables between the
code lock and the control unit in suitable
installation pipes rather than fixing them
inside the wall.
• Use the dowels and screws provided
(depending on the mounting surface) to fix
the housing to the wall.
Remove the flush-mounted box from the
code lock. Remove the two screws on the
front side using the TX hex key provided.
• To install the wall-mounted box, a hole or
recess must be made depending on the
type of surface. You can also install the
box in holes in metal or wooden walls. In
this case, you only need to use the screws
provided; dowels are not required.
e) Door opener
• If the door opener on your door works with DC voltage, the enclosed diode must be connected
in parallel to prevent damage to the control unit.
• The connection setup depends on the door release system (fail-safe or fail-secure). A circuit
example is provided in the instruction manual.
Programming
The programming steps are explained in the instruction manual. We would like to draw your
attention to a few special features:
• Depending on how it is programmed, the door can be opened in different ways:
- 1. By inputting the code
- 2. By using the transponder card
- 3. By using a common user code for several users and a transponder card (an emergency
code can also be programmed, which opens the door and triggers an alarm, e.g. when a
user is forced to open the door under duress).
- 4. By using a group user code (e.g. users obtain different codes depending on the
department in which they work) and a transponder card. You can also program an
emergency code as described in point 3.
• It is possible to program an individual code number for each transponder. You can also
program a single code number for all transponders (or a particular group of people).
Depending on the security level of the door you want to protect with the code lock, you may
wish to use an additional single-use code for each transponder card. This ensures that the
door cannot be opened if the card is lost or stolen.
• Use a table/database to record all information about codes and transponders. This helps you
to obtain an accurate overview of who has access and enables you to prevent access (e.g.
in the event that the transponder card is lost/stolen, or when you wish to remove access for
a particular individual).
• The master code and the user codes can be 4 to 8 digits long. There are two different modes
that be enabled via the "USER CODE ENTRY MODES, Location 70" function (see instruction
manual):
- "Auto Entry Mode": All user codes must have the same number of digits as the master code.
- "Manual Entry Mode" (default setting): After entering the user code, "#" (the hash key) must
be pressed. The user code can therefore have a different number of digits from the master
code. This can increase security when you have authorised access for many people.

Care and cleaning

• This product does not require servicing. Repair work must be done by a specialist technician.
• Use a dry, clean and soft cloth to clean the product. The cloth can be dampened with water
to clean the keypad on the code lock.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may
damage the housing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Do not press too hard on the housing, as this
can lead to scratch marks.
• Dust on the control unit can be easily removed with a brush and a vacuum cleaner.
