c) Deleting a radio receiver from the radio remote control
Please proceed as described in the teach-in process.
d) Turning the taught-in radio receiver on/ off
Press and release the "ON" button of the radio remote control to turn on the taught-in
radio receiver. By briefly pressing the "OFF" button, the taught-in radio receiver is
turned off.
If more than one radio receiver at the radio remote control is being taught-in
(up to 5 are possible), all radio receivers are turned on or off.
If the key command is identified by the receiver, it returns an acknowledgement to the
radio remote control; the LED (1) lights up blue here for the duration of 0.5 seconds. If
no confirmation is received, then the LED (1) of the radio remote control flashes red.
In this way, you can always see if the radio receiver (e.g. a radio-controlled switch
socket) has executed the key command or not.
If more than one radio receiver is being taught-in on the radio remote con-
trol (up to 5 are possible), the LED only lights up blue when all radio receiv-
ers have recognised the key command and the radio remote control has
received the return confirmation.
e) Operation of a dimmer
The RS2W radio system comes with a dimmer (e.g. radio-controlled socket
with dimmer). Of course, this can be controlled via the radio remote control.
To this end, follow the operating instructions for the dimmer.
f) D eleting a defective/ lost radio receiver, and then teach-in of a new radio
receiver
Of course, deleting a damaged or lost radio receiver from the radio remote control
(see section c above) is no longer possible. A substitute radio receiver would not
allow pairing in this way.
Procedure 1:
Press the „ON" (or „OFF") button at least 20x successively and make a pause of at
least one second between each press.
Hold both buttons („ON" and „OFF") pressed (about 3 seconds) until the LED (1) flash-
es red (then released both buttons).
Now, hold the „ON" (or „OFF") button pressed (about 6 seconds) until the LED (1)
flashes blue. Then release the button.
Procedure 2:
Perform a reset on the radio remote control (see Section A above). However, all
taught-in radio receivers will be deleted from the radio remote control and they must
be reprogrammed.
Procedure 3:
If the radio remote control has not received any feedback for a key command from a
radio receiver at least 20x, it releases the internal memory.
The memory is not deleted, but only released for overwriting with a new
teach-in operation (see section b). The data will be retained as long as no
new radio receiver is taught-in!
This prevents unintentional deletion of a radio receiver that is temporarily
out-of-range (and you press the "ON" - or "OFF" button 20x or more). Suc-
cessful feedback resets this internal counter.
If you want to "delete" a defective or lost radio receiver in this way, press the "ON" (or
"OFF") button at least 20x in succession and allow a short break of at least one second
between each keystroke.
Then, the memory released now can be used for teach-in of a new radio receiver (see
section b).
If the defective/ lost radio receiver is not replaced by another new one, then
you have to perform a reset as described in the "Procedure 2".
The reason for this is that the LED would not light up blue on the radio remote
control, as one of the paired radio receiver (the defective/ lost one) does
not send any feedback on the successful receipt of the key command to the
radio remote control.
Alternatively, proceed as described above in "Procedure 1 or 2" to delete the defect/
lost radio receiver directly.
Maintenance and cleaning
Apart from the occasional battery change, the product is maintenance-free.
Clean the product with a soft, clean, dry cloth.
Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions since these could dam-
age the surface of the casing or impair operation.
Declaration of conformity (DOC)
We, Conrad Electronic SE, Klaus-Conrad-Straße 1, D-92240 Hirschau, hereby declare
that this product conforms to the fundamental requirements and the other relevant
regulations of the directive 1999/5/EC.
The Declaration of Conformity for this product is available at:

Range
The transmission range of the radio signals, between the radio remote control and the
radio receiver, is up to 150 m under optimum conditions.
This value, however, is the so-called "open space range" (the range when
transmitter and receiver are visible to each other, without interfering influ-
ences).
In practice, however, there may be walls, room ceilings, etc. between the transmitter
and the receiver which will reduce the range accordingly.
Due to the different influences on the radio transmission, no specific range can be
guaranteed. However, trouble-free operation is usually possible in a single family
house.
Sometimes the range can be considerably reduced due to:
• Walls, reinforced concrete slabs, drywall walls with metal frame construction
• Coated/metallised insulated glass
• Proximity to metallic & conductive objects (e.g., heating elements)
• Proximity to human bodies
• Other devices on the same frequency (e.g. radio headphones, wireless speakers)
• Proximity to electric motors / appliances, transformers, power supplies, computers
Disposal
a) General instructions
Please dispose of the unserviceable product according to the relevant stat-
utory requirements.
Remove the inserted battery and dispose it of separately from the product.
b) Disposal of used batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batter-
ies; disposing them in the household waste is prohibited!
Batteries containing hazardous substance are marked by the symbols
alongside which indicates the prohibition of disposal with domestic waste.
The symbols of the critical heavy metals are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = Lead.
You can hand in your used batteries at the collection points of your community at no
cost or everywhere where batteries/accumulators are sold!
That way you are fulfilling your statutory obligations and you are contributing to the
protection of the environment!
