G Operating instructions
RS2W Mini radio remote control
Item no. 1270201
Intended use
The radio remote control can wirelessly switch a suitable receiver of the RS2W radio
system (or a load connected to it) on or off. The radio remote control is operated via a
battery of "CR2032" type.
A special feature is that the radio remote control gives a feedback via LED, indicat-
ing whether the taught-in radio receivers (max. 5) of the RS2W radio system have
received the key commands or not.
Please read the operating instructions carefully and do not discard them. If you pass
the product on to a third party, please hand over these operating instructions as well.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and will
expose you to additional risks, such as short circuits, fire, etc. No part of the product
may be modified or converted! The safety instructions must be observed at all times!

• The product is not a toy and should be kept out of the reach of children!
• Do not use this product in hospitals or medical institutions. Although the

may also apply to other areas.
• The product must not become damp or wet!
• Do not use the product in rooms that are under adverse environmental
conditions, where combustible gases, vapours or dust are or may be
present! There is a risk of explosion!

accidental falls, even from a low height.
Battery notes
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk of them being swal-
lowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can lead to caustic burning of the skin. Therefore, use
suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a risk of
explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; there is a risk of explosion!
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the
battery.
Controls
1 LED (red/blue)
2 "ON" button, switch on
3 "OFF" button, switch off
4 (Inner) battery compartment for one battery of "CR2032" type
5 Hole, e.g. for key chain
Inserting/replacing the battery
Delivery includes a CR2032 type battery. This is possibly already inserted in
the battery compartment. A protective plastic strip between the battery and
battery contacts prevents premature discharge here; remove this strip.
• Open the battery compartment of the radio remote control, simply pry the two halves
apart carefully (e.g. with a finger nail). The two halves are just clipped together. Do
not use any force during the disassembly.
• Insert a battery of the "CR2032" type, while noting the correct polarity (or remove
the protective plastic strip). The plus pole of the button cells points from you out-
ward.
• Place the housing cover and press the two halves together carefully (note the cor-
rect position) so that the retaining clips snap into place. Do not exert any force.
• A battery change is required if the range of the radio remote control decreases
significantly or the LED (1) does not light up any more when the buttons are pressed.

Operation

Keep a minimum distance of 20 - 30 cm between the radio remote control
and the radio receiver used.
a) Resetting the radio remote control
At initial start-up, you should first perform a reset and only then teach-in the radio
receiver(s).
Reset also deletes all the taught-in/ saved radio receivers.
Proceed as follows to perform a reset:
• Press and hold down both buttons ("ON" and "OFF") for (about 3 seconds) until the
LED (1) flashes red (then, release the buttons for 1 - 2 seconds).
• Press and hold down both buttons again ("ON" and "OFF") for (about 6 seconds)
until the LED (1) flashes blue. Then, let go of both buttons.
b) Teach-in of a radio receiver with the radio remote control
It is possible to teach-in up to 5 different radio receivers at every transmitter
of the RS2W radio system (e.g. radio-controlled switch socket). However, do
not mix the radio-controlled switch and dimmer.
• Switch off the radio receiver of RS2W radio system that you want to teach-in via its
control button (see operating instructions for the radio receiver used).
• Press and hold down both buttons ("ON" and "OFF") of the radio remote control for
(about 3 seconds) until the LED (1) flashes red.
• Hold down the control button on the radio receiver until the teach-in process on the
radio remote control is completed. Here, the LED (1) lights up briefly blue and then,
goes out again.
• The radio receiver switches on to indicate the end of the teach-in process.
If 5 radio receivers at the radio remote control have already been taught-
in, the LEDs light up as described above when it is attempted to teach-in
another radio receiver.
However, the radio receiver is not taught-in and it does not respond to key
commands of the radio remote control.
