OPERATION

• Thoroughly dry and brush your hair.
Reducing energy consumption
• The appliance heats up very quickly and need therefore not be turned on for extended periods. To
save energy, turn off the appliance and disconnect the plug (7) from the power outlet when not using
the appliance.
Preheating the appliance
• Open the appliance by pushing the lock (11) to position
• Make sure that the temperature dial (8) is at position
• Connect the power plug (7) to an appropriate outlet and turn the temperature dial to the desired
temperature using the setting marker (9). The power indicator (10) blinks quickly.
• Lock the appliance until it is ready for operation. To do so, push the upper and lower tongs (1, 3)
together by the handles (2, 4) and push the lock (11) to position
Straightening hair
• The power indicator (10) ceases blinking when the set temperature is reached.
• If you decrease the temperature, the power indicator blinks slowly to indicate that the current
temperature is higher than the set temperature. Wait until the power indicator ceases blinking.
• Unlock the appliance and begin straightening your hair.
• Do not touch the hot tongs. Risk of burning!
• Single out an approx. 5 cm wide strand of hair and brush it thoroughly.
• Lay the strand of hair between the tongs (1, 3) and close the appliance by the handles (2, 4). Never
touch the appliance by the tongs. Risk of burning!
• Hold the straightener a few seconds until the hair is heated up and then pull it through your hair from
your hairline to the hair ends.
• Take care not to burn your hair and always keep a distance of approx. 30 – 50 mm from your scalp.
• Prevent overheating by not moving the appliance too slowly.
• Repeat the process until the desired effect is achieved.
Automatic Power-Off function
• If the unit is operated for 45 minutes at the same temperature setting it will turn off automatically
after this time. If the temperature setting is changed within 45 minutes, the unit shuts off
automatically 45 minutes after setting a new temperature.
• Turn the unit on again by turning the temperature dial (8) to position
temperature.
Turning off the appliance
• Always place the appliance down on a stable, even and heat-resistant surface.
• After use, turn off the appliance by turning the temperature dial (8) to position
• Disconnect the plug (7) from the power outlet.
• Let the appliance cool down to room temperature at a location out of the reach of children. Lock the
appliance while cooling down.
