If not already in use, installing a residual current-

operated protective device (RCD) is recom-
mended for additional protection with a rated
residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA
in the electrical circuit of your bathroom. Ask
your plumber for advice.
Never cover the appliance, for example with a

towel.
Never place the appliance on soft cushions or

blankets during operation.
The appliance can become very hot. Do not
7
keep your hair around the curling plates or be-
tween the ceramic plates for more than a few
seconds.
Do not allow the hot plates to come into contact

with your face, neck or head. Do not touch it
with your bare hands.
Unplug the appliance after use and before
7
cleaning. Do not disconnect the plug by pulling
on the cord. Place the appliance on a heat re-
sistant surface and allow it to cool down.
Always allow the unit to cool down on a flat,
7
heat resistant surface.
