• The design of the mains transformer complies with protection class II. As for
the voltage source for the mains transformer, only a proper power socket con-

the mains adapter, please refer to the chapter "Technical data" at the end of
this operating manual.
• The power socket for the power supply unit must be located in the vicinity of
the projection clock and easily accessible.
• Never plug in, or remove, the power unit when your hands are wet!
• The product must not get damp or wet, it is only intended for use in dry, indoor
locations.
Further, protect the product from direct solar radiation, strong heat, cold, dust
and dirt, splashes and dripping water, vibrations or mechanical loads.
• If the product is brought from a cold into a warm room (e.g. during transport),
condensation may develop. This could damage the product. Furthermore, this
might cause a lethal electric shock!
Therefore, you should allow the product to warm up to room temperature befo-
re using it or connecting the power adapter to an electric socket. This may take
several hours.
• Do not operate the product if it is damaged.
If the power supply unit is damaged, do not touch it. First disconnect the as-
sociated power socket at all phases (disconnect associated circuit breaker

Notes on batteries/rechargeable batteries
• Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries away from children.
• Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; they could be swallowed by

• Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a
fire. There is a risk of explosion!
• Conventional batteries must not be recharged. Risk of explosion!
The clock can also be operated using rechargeable batteries, which however de-
creases the operating time, due to the lower voltage (battery=1.5 V; rechargeable
battery=1.2 V). This may also lead to accuracy deviations.
