Common solutions
The following advices are generally valid and refer to diverse Xomax models with
the similar characteristics. Please note that some articles may refer not to your
model exactly and contain the describtion of features and functions that your model
does not support.
The describtion of the
problem
The unit does not load a CD
or a DVD:
The disc is loaded incompletely
or is not loaded at all.
No picture is available:
Though the audio signal is
present during the video play-
back, instead of picture there
is an error message "Parking
brake audio only" or the like on
the display to see.
The bluetooth microphone
is too quiet: Your dialogue
partner can not hear you
clearly enough.

The cause and the solution
Please ensure that the transport screws were
removed before the installation.
Note:
The 2 transport screws on the top surface of the unit
protect sensitive optical CD-/DVD drive inside of the
unit from the possible transport damages. If these
are not removed the drive is inhibited and no disc can
be loaded.
Solution 1:
The hand brake cable was not connected correctly or
not connected at all. The hand brake cable should be
connected with the ground (-) of the hand brake.
Solution 2:
The vehicle is in motion or the hand brake was not
applied appropriate.
Note:
The proper connection of the hand brake makes sure
that the picture will be displayed only if the vehicle is
parked.
Please ensure that the mic is not blocked and there is
a clear area between the mic and the user.
It is possible that in some vehicles the installation
postition of the unit is not optimal for the placement
of the mic. In this case please speak loud and intelli-
gible enough.
