14. Check the appliance, mains plug and mains cable for damage
regularly and always before using the appliance.
15. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Do not use the appliance if it
displays any signs of damage or if the appliance has fallen onto
the floor or may have been otherwise damaged.
16. Please contact customer services if the appliance malfunctions or
there are any signs of damage.
17. Only allow the appliance to be repaired by an authorised
specialist or customer services. Repairs carried out incorrectly
could present a danger for the user.
18. Only plug the appliance into a compliant mains socket.
19. Plug the mains plug into an easily accessible mains socket so
that you can quickly disconnect the appliance from the mains
supply in the event of an emergency. Disconnect the mains plug
from the mains socket in the event of an emergency and only use
an extension cable that is suitable for the corresponding power
requirements.
20. If the mains cable is damaged or severed, do not touch the mains
cable. Unplug the appliance immediately. Damaged or twisted
mains cables increase the risk of electric shock.
21. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Please contact an authorised
specialist or customer services to replace a damaged plug or
cable, in order to prevent danger.
22. Do not use the mains cable for any other purpose, for example, to
carry or hang up the appliance or to pull the plug out of the mains
socket. Do not wind the cable around the appliance. Keep the
mains cable away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Ensure that the
mains cable is not squashed, pulled tightly, bent or chafed.
23. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK! Make sure that that the power cable
never gets wet or damp when the kettle is in use. Take care not to
squash the cable or damage it in any other way.
24. Arrange the mains cable so that it is not possible for anyone to
unintentionally pull or trip over the mains cable.
25. This appliance should not be operated on an external timer or a
separate remote control system.
