1.
Intended use
The product is designed to automatically turn a connected electrical device on or off at designated times. As
many as 20 different switch-on/off times can be programmed. The product also features three different random
modes and a countdown mode. The time, day of the week and the switching state of the connected electrical
device are displayed on the LC display. Thanks to the integrated rechargeable batteries, all settings are stored
even when the product is not in use. The product is suitable for electrical devices with a maximum power input/
current draw of 3680 W / 16 A. The product is splash water protected from all sides (IP44) and is thus suitable
for use outdoors. Power is supplied via a standard mains outlet (230 V/AC).
For safety and approval purposes (CE), you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
cause hazards such as short circuiting, fire, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Persons / Product
Do not connect multiple timers in a row.
The product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. These may become dangerous playing material
for children.
Protect the product from strong water jets, extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, flammable
gases, vapours and solvents.
Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it from any
accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:

is visibly damaged,
-
is no longer working properly,
-
has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
-
has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage the
product.
Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected to the
product.
In schools, training facilities, hobby or self-service workshops, handling of electrical devices must be
monitored by trained personnel.
When operating on commercial premises, the relevant accident prevention regulations of workers'
compensation boards for electrical equipment must be observed.
This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for their safety. Young children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
Rechargeable batteries
The rechargeable batteries should only be replaced by an expert.
Rechargeable batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave rechargeable batteries lying
around, as there is risk, that children or pets swallow it.
All the rechargeable batteries should be replaced at the same time. Mixing old and new rechargeable
batteries in the product can lead to battery leakage and device damage.
Rechargeable batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never recharge non-
rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
Miscellaneous
Consult an expert when in doubt about operation, safety or connection of the product.
Maintenance, modifications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a qualified
shop.

Operation
The product is only to be operated from a mains outlet. The arrow on the rating label must
point upwards.
Charging the batteries
Completely charge the batteries before initial use. For this, plug the weekly timer into a standard mains outlet.
Charging will take approx. 12 hours.
Then press the button "PUSH HERE TO RESET" located on the rating plate on the back. The display will
turn on. The weekly timer can now be programmed.
Setting the time
1.
In time display mode, press the button "SET/MODE" to switch between 12/24-hour display.
In 12-hour mode, the display will show the "PM" indicator between noon and midnight. Between
midnight and noon, no indicator will be displayed.
2.
Press and hold the button "SET/MODE" for approx. three seconds, until "SET" appears in the lower part of
the display (in addition to "CLOCK"). The day of the week ("MO") will flash in the upper part of the display.
3.
Press the button "RND" or "CD" to adjust the day of the week (MO = Monday, TU = Tuesday,
WE = Wednesday, TH = Thursday, FR = Friday, SA = Saturday, SU = Sunday).
4.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The hour value will start flashing.
5.
Press the button "RND" to increase the hour value, or press the button "CD" to decrease it. To fast forward
through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
6.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The minute value will start flashing.
7.
Press the button "RND" to increase the minute value, or press the button "CD" to decrease it. To fast forward
through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
8.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The seconds value will start flashing.
9.
Press the button "CD" to reset the seconds value to "00" or press the button "RND" to set the clock to the
next full minute value.
10.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The weekly timer is now back in time display mode.
Mode sequence
To select the different modes, press and hold the button "SET/MODE" and repeatedly press the button "RND".
To run through the mode sequence in reverse order, press and hold the button "SET/MODE" and repeatedly
press the button "CD".
The sequence of the modes is as follows:
Time display mode → Switch-on programme 1 → Switch-off programme 1 → Switch-on programme 2 →
Switch-off programme 2 → ... → Switch-on programme 20 → Switch-off programme 20 → Countdown mode
Programming the switch-on/off times
The weekly timer offers 20 switching programmes whose switch-on/off times can be individually programmed.
The 20 switching programmes are each divided into a switch-on programme ("ON" indicator) and a switch-off
programme ("OFF" indicator).
1.
In time display mode, press and hold the button "SET/MODE" and additionally press the button "RND". The
lower part of the display will show "PROGRAM ON" (switch-on time). The right-hand side of the display will
show "1" indicating the first of the 20 programme memories.
2.
Press and hold the button "SET/MODE" for approx. three seconds, until "SET" appears additionally in the
lower part of the display. The day of the week ("MO") will flash in the upper part of the display.
3.
Using the buttons "RND" or "CD", now select whether the programme shall be activated on a certain day
of the week, Mondays through Fridays, Mondays through Saturdays, Saturdays and Sundays or on every
day of the week.
4.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The hour value will start flashing.
5.
Press the button "RND" to increase the hour value, or press the button "CD" to decrease it. To fast forward
through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
6.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The minute value will start flashing.
7.
Press the button "RND" to increase the minute value, or press the button "CD" to decrease it. To fast
forward through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
8.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The switch-on time for Switching programme 1 is now set.
9.
Press and hold the button "SET/MODE" and additionally press the button "RND". The lower part of the
display will show "PROGRAM OFF" (switch-off time).
10.
Now proceed as described above to programme the switch-off time for Switching programme 1.
11.
If required, also programme the switch-on/off times for the remaining programme memories applying the
same procedure.
12.
After programming has been successfully completed, the weekly timer will be switched on/off at the preset
times.
Programming the countdown
The countdown function enables the connected electrical device to be switched on or off after completion of a
countdown. The maximum countdown time to be set is 23 h 59 min 59 s.
1.
In time display mode, press and hold the button "SET/MODE" and additionally press the button "CD". The
lower part of the display will show "CD PROGRAM". The weekly timer is now in countdown mode.
2.
Press and hold the button "SET/MODE" for approx. three seconds, until "SET" appears in the lower part
of the display (in addition to "CD PROGRAM"). "ON" or "OFF" will blink in the lower right-hand side of the
display.
3.
Press the button "RND" or "CD" to select "ON" or "OFF".
-
ON: The connected electrical device will be switched on when the countdown starts, and turned off when
the countdown is completed.
-
OFF: The connected electrical device will be switched off when the countdown starts, and turned on
when the countdown is completed.
4.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The hour value will start flashing.
5.
Press the button "RND" to increase the hour value, or press the button "CD" to decrease it. To fast forward
through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
6.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The minute value will start flashing.
7.
Press the button "RND" to increase the minute value, or press the button "CD" to decrease it. To fast
forward through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
8.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The seconds value will start flashing.
9.
Press the button "RND" to increase the seconds value, or press the button "CD" to decrease it. To fast
forward through the values, press and hold the corresponding button.
10.
Press "SET/MODE" to confirm. The countdown time is now programmed.
11.
Press the button "CD" to start the countdown.
12.
Press the button "CD" to abort the countdown. The preset countdown time will then be shown again on
the display.
If the countdown is active but the weekly timer remains in another mode, then "CD" will flash
on the lower part of the display.
If the random function is activated (see following section), it will not be possible to start the
countdown.
All preset switching programmes are deactivated as long as the countdown is running.
Once you have activated manual switch-on/off, the running countdown is stopped.
Random function
This functions allows the turning on or off of electrical devices according to randomly controlled time intervals.
This function is especially suited for security applications, e.g. when a house is unsupervised. Three different
random functions are available:

When the random function is activated, all preset programmes, including the countdown
mode, are temporarily deactivated.
Proceed as follows to activate Random function 1:
1.
In any mode (except the countdown mode and Switching programme 20), press the button "RND". "RND"
will flash in the lower part of the display.
2.
The electrical device will now be turned on and off in an infinite loop.
3.
To deactivate the random function, press the button "RND" again.
Proceed as follows to activate Random function 2:
1.
In countdown mode, press the button "RND". "L-RND" will flash in the lower part of the display.
2.
The electrical device will now be turned on and off in an infinite loop.
3.
To deactivate the random function, press the button "RND" again.
Proceed as follows to activate Random function 3:
1.
Select Switching programme 20 and programme the time frame for which the random function is to stay
activated (e.g. from Mondays to Saturdays between 7.30 pm and 11 pm).
2.
After programming is completed, press the button "RND" while still in Switching programme 20.
3.
The electrical device will be turned on and off within the set time frame.
-
When the electrical device is turned on, "RND" will flash on the lower part of the display.
-
When the electrical device is turned off, "RND" will show continuously in the lower part of the display.
4.
To deactivate the random function, press the button "RND" again.
Summertime
You can switch the weekly timer to summertime without having to set the clock entirely anew.
In time display mode, press and hold the button "SET/MODE" and press the button "O/I". On the left-hand
side of the display, the indicator for summertime (sun icon) will appear. The time will automatically be put
forward by one hour.
To change back to normal time, press and hold the button "SET/MODE" and press the button "O/I". The sun
icon will disappear and the normal time will be displayed again.
Deactivating switching programmes
You can deactivate switching programmes either individually or all in one go. The settings will remain unchanged
and the deactivation can just be cancelled again.
Proceed as follows to deactivate individual switching programmes:
1.
Select the switching programme that you want to have deactivated.
2.
Press and hold the button "SET/MODE" for approx. three seconds. The day of the week will flash in the
upper part of the display.
3.
Now press the button "O/I". The indicator for programme deactivation ("X") will appear on the upper part
of the display.
4.
Press the button "SET/MODE" twice. The switching programme is now deactivated.
5.
Proceed in the same way to activate the switching programme again.
Proceed as follows to deactivate all switching programmes simultaneously:
1.
Press and hold the button "SET/MODE" for approx. three seconds, until "SET" appears in the lower part of
the display (in addition to "CLOCK"). The day of the week will flash in the upper part of the display.
2.
Now press the button "O/I". The indicator for programme deactivation ("X") will appear on the upper part
of the display.
3.
Press "SET/MODE" four times. All switching programmes are now deactivated.
4.
Proceed in the same way to activate all switching programmes again.
Switching to time display mode
In the currently displayed mode, press the button "SET/MODE". This will only work when all settings within
the current mode have been completed (all display elements light up continuously).
After one minute of inactivity, the weekly timer will switch to time display mode.
Switching on/off manually
Apart from the switching programmes, you can also manually activate/deactivate the electrical device. For this,
press the button "O/I" while in time display mode to turn the electrical device on or off. The indicator "ON" or
"OFF" will flash in the lower part of the display.
Once a programme becomes active, the electrical device will again be turned on and off at
the preset times.
When the random function is active, the electrical device cannot be manually turned on or off.
Reset
You can reset (delete) all programmes and settings simultaneously by pressing the button "PUSH HERE TO
RESET" located on the rating plate on the back.
6.
Installation
Ensure that the product is easily accessible and installed close to the electrical device.
Always ensure that there is adequate ventilation.
Do not cover the product with towels, curtains, newspapers or similar objects.
1.
Plug the device into a wall outlet (indoor or outdoor).
2.
Open the covering lid and connect the electrical device that you want to be controlled by the timer.
7.
Cleaning
When cleaning, the product must be disconnected from mains socket and electrical loads.
Only use dry and soft cloth to clear the housing of the power adapter.
Do not use abrasive or solvents.
8.
Disposal
General
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product to
relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.
The crossed-out wheeled bin indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as
municipal waste.
Batteries / rechargeable batteries
The user is legally obliged (directive 2006/66/EC) to return used batteries and rechargeable
batteries. Disposing used batteries in the household waste is prohibited! Batteries/
rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with the crossed-out
wheeled bin. The symbol indicates that the product is forbidden to be disposed via the domestic
refuse. The chemical symbols for the respective hazardous substances are Cd = Cadmium, Hg
= Mercury, Pb = Lead.
You can return used batteries/ rechargeable batteries free of charge to any collecting point of your
local authority, our stores or where batteries/ rechargeable batteries are sold.
Consequently you comply with your legal obligations and contribute to environmental protection!
The rechargeable batteries should be removed by an expert prior to disposal.
