6- Identify any electrical risks in the work area, such as overhead lines or other exposed electrical equipment;
7- Ladder shall be stood on its feet, not the rungs or steps;
8- Ladder shall not be positioned on slippery surfaces (such as ice, shiny surfaces or significantly contaminated
solid surfaces) unless additional effective measures are taken to prevent the ladder
slipping or ensuring contaminated surfaces are sufficiently clean.
The enlargement device is provided. It's mandatory use the ladder with enlargement device installed.
1- lie down in the ladder to the ground with the larger section facing up.
2– insert the enlargement device into the larger section, at the lower part of this, the two brackets of
enlargement device, as long as these do not support it to the uprights of ladder;
3– ensure that the holes in the brackets correspond with the holes on the uprights;
4– insert the bolts through the holes supplied from the outside;
5- tighten the thumb nuts on the bolts until their absorption in the nylon nut.
A- This ladder can be used as standing ladder or as a leaning ladder;
B- Place the ladder at the exact point where it must operate. The operator has to climb and work with the
body in a central position of the steps, always with safety grabbing the sides;
C- do not exceed the maximum total load for the type of ladder (150 KG);
D- Do not overreach; user should keep their belt buckle (navel) inside the stiles and both feet on the same
step/rung throughout the task;
E- Do not step off a leaning ladder at a higher level without additional security, such as tying off or use of a
suitable stability device;
F- Do not stand on the top two steps/rungs of a standing ladder;
G- Do not stand on the top three steps/rungs of a standing ladder with an extending ladder at the top;
H- Ladders should only be used for light work of short duration;
I- Use non conductive ladders for unavoidable live electrical work;
J- Do not use the ladder outside in adverse weather conditions, such as strong wind;
K- Take precautions against children playing on the ladder;
L- Secure doors (not fire exits) and windows where possible in the work area;
M- Face the ladders when ascending and descending;
N- Do not turn around when climbing or descending the ladder;
O- Keep a secure grip on the ladder when ascending and descending;
P- Do not use the ladder as a bridge;
Q- Wear suitable footwear when climbing a ladder;
R- Avoid excessive side loading e.g. drilling brick and concrete;
S- Do not spend long periods on a ladder without regular breaks (tiredness is a risk);
T- Leaning ladders used for access to a higher level, should be extended at least 1 m above the landing point;
U- Equipment carried while using a ladder should be light and easy to handle;
V- Maintain a handhold while working on a ladder, or take additional safety precautions if you cannot.
The ladder has a few safety devices. Devices installed on the rungs is the anti-opening (hook red) that must be
operated in order to pull the various sections. In the middle section and the final section, inserted in the 3°
rung from the bottom, are installed devices (red) that limit the excessive growth of the sections. The ladder
must be developed by the closer section.
Press the red anti-opening hook so that the lock on the rung free.
