7. Stick the plug of the temperature
controller (7) into the connection so-
cket (6) until it stops.
8. Place the hood handle (1), the adjusta-
ble steam outlet (2) and the insulating
plate (2a) onto the hood (4) and con-
nect it with the screw (3) from inside
the hood. Ensure that the pivot of the
hood handle is sitting in the recess of
the steam outlet (2).
Please note:
Steps 2 to 4 are not necessary if the
device is used as a table BBQ.

Before first use

1. Clean the BBQ plate, drip pan and
hood, as described in the sectio
Maintenance and Cleaning.
2. Place the device on an even, dry,
and non-slip surface.
3. If the device is used as a table BBQ,
it must be placed on a heat-resistant
pad.
4. Remove the lid and rub the BBQ
plate thinly with cooking oil.
5. Set the temperature controller (7),
counterclockwise, to 0.
6. Connect the mains plug to a suitable
socket.
7. Set the temperature controller to
the highest level. The indicator light
(8)lights up and the device heats
up. The heating time is approx. 5
minutes. As soon as the device has
heated up, the indicator light goes
out.
8. Let the device heat up for approx.10
minutes without food and with a
closed hood, in order to burn away
production residues.
9. When first used, a small amount of
smoke and a corresponding odour
may be produced. This is a nor-
mal process and is caused by the
burning away of production residues.
The smoke and the odour disappear
after a brief time. Ensure the room is
sufficiently ventilated.
10. The device is ready for use.
