Troubleshooting

I cannot see the Setup Wizard when I turn on the player for the first time.
Make sure that your TV is displaying the appropriate video source. You may
need to use the AV Input, Source, Select or TV/Video button on your TV or TV
remote control to change video sources. If you are having trouble changing the
video source, refer to the instructions that came with your TV.
Your Media Player must be set to the right output. Press the SOURCE button
on the remote control of your Media Player several times until you see the
Setup Wizard.
If you did not connect the player directly to the TV, but instead are passing the
signal through your VCR, make sure that your VCR is displaying the appropriate
video source. To do this, use the Input or Source button on your VCR on VCR's
remote control. Some VCRs only pass the signal on when they are turned off. If
you are having trouble displaying the correct video source, refer to the
instructions that came with your VCR.
Make sure that all cables are connected to the IN jacks on your TV or VCR, not
the OUT jacks.
It is possible that the cables you are using to connect your receiver to your TV
or other equipment may be damaged or defective. Try replacing the cables
connected to the receiver with other cables you know are working properly.
Make sure that the power adapter plug is firmly attached to the back panel of
the player. Also check that the power adapter is plugged into a working power
socket and that this is not switched off.
My remote control isn't working.
The remote control must be set to the ACTIVY Media Player mode. Make sure
that the remote control is set to the MD mode. Refer to the instruction supplied
with your remote control.
Make sure that the batteries are correctly inserted.
The batteries may dead so replace them with new ones.
The volume and mute buttons on the remote control don't work when playing
content that was encoded in 5.1 surround.
The volume can only be adjusted on your digital stereo receiver. The Media
Player can pass the audio signal through to a compatible audio receiver for
multi-channel decoding.
I can't find any of my music, photos or videos.
Make sure that the ACTIVY Media Center, UPnP Server or computer is
switched on and that it has not entered standby mode.
Make sure that the UPnP server used is executed on the computer.
If using a wired network, check that the Ethernet cable is properly attached to
the Media Player and to a network switch, hub or router. Check that the switch,
hub or router is switched on.
