One channel is faded out using the slide control while the other channel is faded in. When the CROSSFADER is
in centre position, both channels are played equally.
(29) CF CURVE control
Use the CF CURVE control to change the control characteristics of the CROSSFADER (28). Turn the control to
the right. The two channels are faded in or out only at the end of the control range (logarithmical). Turn the con-
trol to the left. The two channels are faded in or out continuously over the whole control range (linear).
(30) CROSSFADER ASSIGN A and B switches
Use the CROSSFADER ASSIGN A and B switches to select the two channels to be controlled by the-
crossfader (28).
Do not select two identical channels with the two switches. In that case, the crossfader function
cannot be used.
(31) BEAT ASSIST display
Automatic display of the BEATS PER MINUTE (BPM) of the channels selected with the CROSSFADER ASSIGN
switch (30). The result is shown on the corresponding display.
IIf the BPM cannot be calculated properly, the display shows 160 BPM. A BPM recalculation auto-
matically takes place. If the input signal is too weak, the BPM cannot be calculated automatically or
manually. The display shows two bars.
(32) SYNC LOCK button
The mixer automatically determines the BPM of the current piece of music. If the BPM of a piece of music change
considerably, the BEAT ASSIST display (31) shows various differing values. This is confusing for the user. When
the BMP counter has determined a realistic value, press the SYNC LOCK button. The range of possible BPM is
thus reduced. When the SYNC LOCK function is activated, the button is lit. Press the button again to deactivate
the function.
(33) BEAT ASSIST button
The mixer automatically determines the BPM of the current piece of music. The button flashes for every new cal-
culation. If the BPM of a piece of music change considerably, the BEAT ASSIST display (31) shows various dif-
fering values. The BPM can also be determined manually. Press the BEAT ASSIST button at least three times
with the beat of the music. The determined value is shown on the display. The SYNC LOCK function is activated.
The BEAT ASSIST button is only active when a piece of music of sufficient volume is played.
