Connection and control elements

See fold-out page
(1) MIC connection
The DJ microphone can be connected to this input. The microphone input is equipped with a special socket. You
can connect a 6.3 mm jack plug (unsymmetrical) or an XLR plug (symmetrical).
(2) MIC sound control
Use these controls to change the sound characteristics of the MIC channel.
HI = treble control
MID = mids control
LOW = bass control
Turn the control all the way to the left for maximum attenuation.
Turn the control all the way to the right for maximum gain.
In centre position, the control does not influence the signal (neutral position).
(3) AUX control
The AUX control is used to mix a separate MIC output signal (mono) at the MIC AUX SEND socket (38). The signal
for the AUX control is picked up before the individual MIC VOL controls (4) (pre-fader). Adjustments of the MIC VOL
control (4) do not influence the MIC AUX SEND output signal.
(4) MIC VOL control
Use this control to set the volume of the microphone to the overall signal (master output). The MIC VOL control
should always be set to "MIN" if the input is not used.
(5) TALKOVER switch
When the switch is pressed, the TALKOVER function is active. The TALKOVER LED lights up. The volume of all
channels except for the microphone channel is reduced when the microphone is used. DJ announcements will be
louder than the music signal.
(6) TALK SENS control
This control sets the sensitivity of the TALKOVER function.
(7) DPT control
Use this control for maximum attenuation of all other channels.
(8) MIC ON switch
Use this switch to turn the MIC channel on or off. When the channel is on, the MIC ON LED lights up.
(9) Input selector LINE/PHONO or LINE/CD
Use the input selector to select between the individual inputs (signal sources) for the channel. The selected sig-
nal source is fed through this mixer channel.
Minimise the volume using the corresponding channel fader before switching an input
selector. Possible differences in volume between the input sources may otherwise cause
sudden excessive volume.
