Each module offers two different types of input and
output. The inputs monitor whether or not a switching
state has changed and indicate the current status (e.g.
contact open or closed).
12 inputs:
• 6 digital, TTL-compatible inputs (I7 - I12)
• 6 analogue (/digital) inputs (I1 - I6)
The digital inputs can be used to connect push-buttons
or wired door/window contacts, for example.
The analogue inputs are capable of measuring input
voltages of up to 10 V. This makes them ideal for
recording sensor data. With the HomeMatic central
control unit, they can also be configured as digital
inputs.
In addition, for the inputs I7 - I12 frequencies of up to
250 Hz can be measured.
14 outputs:
• 8 open collector switching outputs
• 6 relay switching outputs
The open collector switching outputs OC1 - OC8 make
it possible to control consumers up to 24 V/50 mA.

The outputs can also be used as outputs for a square-
wave signal with variable frequency. In the module
configuration, the length of the pulse can be adjusted
(0 - 600 s). The repetition frequency (0 - 50 Hz) can be
selected via the value of the channel (operation). If a
pulse duration of 0 s is set, the selected frequency will
be directly transmitted (pulse/pause ratio 1:1).
The relay switching outputs are capable of switching
loads up to 30 V/0.8 A.
The extensive configuration options are available via
the WebUI user inferface of the HomeMatic central
control unit.
The configuration data is stored in a non-volatile
memory.
The module is mounted on a standard DIN rail within
distribution boards.
