1. To answer or end calls with the
HSG DECT 2 dual headset, the
HSG DECT 2 dual base station
must be permanently connected to
your Avaya phone's AEI port via the
AEI connection cable.
When connecting the phone
and HSG DECT 2 dual with the
connection cable, first plug the cable
into the socket on the HSG DECT 2
dual base station that is labeled AEI,
then plug it into the AEI socket on
the phone.
On the HSG DECT 2 dual side, the
connection cable has an 8-pin
western plug and, on the phone side,
a 6-pin western plug.
For easy operation of the HSG DECT
2 dual, it is essential that the phone
has been configured for headset
operation (for more details, refer to
your phone handbook).

on a handset connection (phones
without AEI interface)
2. Plug the 50 cm long connection
cable (4-pin western plug at both
ends) into the socket with the
phone symbol on the HSG DECT
2 dual and plug the other end into
the phone's handset socket.

In this case, the phone's handset
is plugged into the socket with
the handset symbol on the base
station.
NOTE: The phone connection socket
is difficult to access.
4. Connecting the cable is a tricky
operation that requires a certain
level of manual aptitude. Connect
the mains adapter to a mains
socket and to the relevant socket
on the base station. Push the plug
firmly into the base station socket.

téléphone est branché sur la prise
de la base portant le symbole du
combiné.
REMARQUE: la prise de connexion du
téléphone est difficile d'accès..

Le branchement de ce câble est
une opération difficile qui requiert
une certaine habileté manuelle.
Connectez les adaptateurs secteur
aux prises secteur et à la prise
correspondante sur la base.
Enfoncez fermement la fiche dans
la prise de la base.

being used in connection with the AEI
connection cable on Avaya phones

IntelliStand function.
IntelliStand registers when the headset
is taken out of or replaced in the
HSG DECT 2 dual base station and
automatically activates the phone to
answer or end a call.
The IntelliStand function is deactivated
when the IntelliStand switch is set to
position I, or activated when the switch
