N OTE: If you or the other call party are
experiencing static noise, check the
compatibility.
A . HSG DECT 2 dual connected
to AEI
T o activate the headset, press either
the call control button on the
headset or the hands-free button on
the phone (in all cases, the phone
must have been preconfigured
for headset operation on the AEI).
The headset indicator light now
illuminates.
To end the call, press either the call
control button on the
headset or the hands-free button on
the phone.
When you receive an incoming
call, the ringtone will sound on
the headset. You can then answer
the call using the same buttons as
described above.
B . HSG DECT 2 dual connected
to handset connection (phones
without AEI)
To make calls with the headset, the
system must be in headset mode.
Take the handset out of the cradle
and dial normally. Now you can
speak through the headset. When
the call ends, place the phone
handset back in the cradle.
As soon as the phone rings, take the
handset out of the cradle. Ensure that
your HSG DECT 2 dual is in headset
mode. Now you can speak through
your headset. If the call has ended,
place the phone handset back in the
cradle. The HSG DECT 2 dual stays in
its active status until the call control
button (3) is pressed.
T ip: When the call has ended, switch
to handset mode.This will preserve
the headset battery and extend the
available talk time. To do this, press
the call control button (3) as soon as
the call ends.
Switching between headset/handset
Press the call control button (3)
on the headset to select headset
mode. When you are in headset
mode, the talk indicator light
illuminates on the base station
and the online indicator on the
headset flashes. Both indicator
lights disappear in handset mode.
M aking and receiving calls in
handset mode
a) HSG DECT 2 dual on AEI
The phone handset can be used
normally.
b ) HSG DECT 2 dual on handset
connection (phones without AEI)
Ensure that the HSG DECT 2 dual
is in handset mode. Otherwise,
press the call control button so
that the headset indicator light is
off. Take the handset out of the
cradle and dial normally. To end
the call, place the handset back in
the cradle. The HSG DECT 2 dual
remains in handset mode until you
press the call control button again.
In handset mode, the phone can
be used normally to make and
answer calls.
