Appendix: Technical support
Problem
Motor head cannot be
fastened on the filter
case.
Water is escaping
from the motor head.
The motor is not
running.
Reduced water flow
Cause
The arrows on the filter baskets
and on the filter case are not all
pointing in the same direction /
some filter baskets are installed
incorrectly.
Some filter baskets contain too
much filter material.
Some locking buckles are not
closed correctly.
There is dirt or foreign bodies on
the filter case or the O-ring.
The O-ring is fitted incorrectly,
damaged or missing.
The edge of the motor head is
damaged.
The hose adapter unit is fitted
incorrectly.
The power supply is interrupted.
The impeller shaft is broken.
The impeller is missing / is blocked
by foreign bodies such as small
stones.
The hose adapter unit is heavily
soiled.
The hoses are obstructing the
water flow.
The hoses are heavily soiled.
The foam pre-filter and plastic
strainer is clogged.
The filter materials are clogged.
The filter material was filled into
nets / the filter material used was
not the manufacturer's filter
material.
The filter material was filled in
incorrectly.
The Tetra FF fine filter fleece is too
heavily soiled.
Dirt has formed in the impeller

Solution
Install the filter baskets correctly. See page 15.
Remove the surplus filter material. See page 15.
Close the locking buckles carefully. See page 15.
Clean the places where there is contact between the O-ring
and the filter case. See page 20.
Insert the O-ring correctly / replace it. See page 20.
Replace the motor head.
Fit the hose adapter unit correctly. See page 16.
Establish a stable power supply.
Replace the impeller. See page 19.
Insert the impeller / clean it. See page 19.
Remove the hose adapter unit and clean it under warm
water. See page 18.
Make sure that the hoses are neither kinked nor twisted.
See starting on page 17.
Rinse the hoses, water intake pipe and flow return pipe with
high-pressure tap water.
Remove all foreign bodies, remove the dirt.
Remove the filter material and clean it with water from the
aquarium. See page 19.
Do not fill the filter material into nets or nylon stockings
because this will cause the filter to become clogged and the
water flow to be reduced.
Make sure that the filter material is filled in correctly. See
page 15.
Replace the Tetra FF fine filter fleece.
Clean the impeller with warm water. See page 19.
Make sure that the flow return pipe is above the water level
and press the start button.
Use only original parts from the manufacturer or the water
flow may be reduced.
